Rare to find restored Asteroid Silver HDT VK SS Brock Commodore Build No. 2786 with immaculate Scheel trim. Running the all matching numbers Group A derived 304 cubic inch 4.9 litre engine, the trusty M21 4 speed, power steering, air conditioning, Scheel seats and the Micro Command stereo.

This SS is all original under the bonnet running the matching numbers 177kW V7X 4.9 litre V8, HDT with enhanced B cast heads, the factory 4 barrel Rochester Quadrajet carburetor and port matched inlet manifold, the chrome air cleaner lid, chrome rocker covers, factory M21 4 speed manual gearbox and 3.08 LSD differential.

Originally delivered by Leach Motors in Brisbane, Queensland the car has covered a genuine 220,168 klms and comes with the original Log Books signed by the one and only Peter Brock and is supplied with a comprehensive service history. The log books were signed by Peter Brock at the last ever touring car event held at Lakeside Raceway. The interior features the wonderful Scheel seats which have also been retrimmed in the factory specified cloth trim and presents like new.

Owned by the current fourth owner since 2007, the car was originally purchased by a doctor in Brisbane. The second owner was a mechanic at Holden Eagers in Brisbane and Eagers serviced the VK SS from new. The third owner purchased the car in 2002 and was also a mechanic.

Mechanically the car comes with a comprehensive service history. The engine has been overhauled and rebuilt to Group 3 specs with new bearings, pistions/rings, camshaft & lifters and a new carburetor. The engine is blue printed and balanced, still on it's standard bore size and the crank heads are port matched to the intake and exhaust. The M21 has a RPM race clutch fitted and the diff has been rebuilt.

At 215,000 Klms, the VK SS was resprayed with 2 coats of color plus 2 coats of clear and the SS has been rust proofed since new.

Slotted and cross drilled disc rotors are fitted and the calipers have been overhauled. A set of Pacemaker headers/exhaust system are fitted and all cooling system hoses have been replaced. A reconditioned A/C compressor and fan have also been fitted.

The VK SS has a new battery and is riding on Pirelli P6000 tyres fitted to the original 15 x 7 inch HDT Aero directional rims. The original spare wheel and original tools are also still in the boot.

The VK SS comes with the original Air Cleaner assembly.
