Getting near impossible to find, a genuine matching numbers LH Torana SL/R 5000 in its original 70's hero colour of Mandarin Red with black cloth trim. This SL/R 5000 is in great condition and features the all matching numbers 240 bhp L31 5 litre Holden V8 and M21 4 speed with 2.78:1 LSD. For sale from our Sydney Showroom.

The LH Torana was one of the last Holdens to be fully conceived, engineered, designed and built in Australia. Styled by Leo Pruneau, the mid-sized Torana was cleverly designed for four, six and eight cylinder motors. At the top of the tree sat the SL/R 5000, a 5 Litre Aussie sports sedan and the basis of Holden's Bathurst race spec L34 and A9X models. With the SL/R 5000, Holden offered the Aussie car buyer a terrific mid sized family sports car package with plenty of power, striking exterior colours and a comfortable interior with an impeccable reputation as one of Holden's most successful rally and circuit racing models.

For sale is a rare to find example of the LH Torana SL/R 5000 in factory Mandarin Red with Black cloth trim. The SL/R has been repainted and retrimmed to factory specifications and features the original matching numbers HT prefixed 10th month 1974 5 Litre V8 with factory 4BBL Rochester, Lukey extractors, the factory M21 gearbox and GU7 gearbox.

The interior features the factory spec black cloth trim with all working gauges and 51,340 klms showing on the odometer.

The Tory is riding on period correct genuine 14" Cheviot Hotwire wheels with Nangang 215x65x14 tyres on the rear and Powertrac 195x65x14 on the front. There is a Hotwire spare in the boot.

The car has been fitted at some stage with Air conditioning with most of the parts included. A tow bar has also been fitted at some stage thus the holes in the boot floor.

This is a great looking Tory that you can buy with confidence and drive and enjoy it while it continues to appreciate in value.
