Now for sale this 1974 Torana SL/R 5000 in Saffron Metallic, located in Bunbury, WA.

Getting near impossible to find, genuine matching numbers LH Torana SL/R 5000 in its original '70's hero colour of Saffron Metallic with black Houndstooth cloth trim. Upgraded to L34 specifications and featuring the all matching numbers L31 5 litre Holden V8 and M21 4 speed gearbox.

Originally sold through B.G. Hartwig & Co. P/L Wagga Wagga, NSW, the Torana was upgraded to L34 specifications including twin coils, twin Weber side draft carby set up and extractors. Also included is a genuine L34 twin point Repco modified Bosch distributor. The SL/R 5000 is also fitted with L34 flares and the car was repainted in 2003. 

In addition, the engine was rebuilt to L34 specifications in 2011. The M21 gearbox was also fully rebuilt and diff has been upgraded to a 3.36:1 ratio LSD locker. The Torana is running HQ pattern reconditioned brakes and suspension. Receipts for all the work are included in the sale. The car has a restored radiator, new heavy duty alternator, standard manifold, Pacemaker extractors and dual 2 1/2" exhaust system. The SL/R 5000 is fitted with the standard fuel tank.

The interior features the all original black vinyl trim with Houndstooth cloth trim, original door cards, dash, crash pad, seat belts, steering wheel, all working gauges and showing 107,917 klms showing on the odometer.

The car has been treated to brand new Pedders springs and shocks with upgrade sway bars front and rear and the Tory is riding on 14" GTS rims 8" on the rear and 7" on the front with good Khumo 225X60x14 on the front and 245x60x14 on the rear. There is a 14x6 GTS spare with good tyre in the boot.

Known ownership history including the original ownership held by the selling dealership in Wagga Wagga, then sold in July 1975 to the second owner in Tasmania, then to Adelaide and currently in Bunbury, WA. The current mechanic owner has held this special SL/R 5000 since 2010. The Torana features all original panels and is damage and rust free. Comes with a Holden Verification Letter from 1990 and a Historical Services authenticity report confirming the original order details for the car and the selling dealership as B.G. Hartwig & Co. P/L Wagga Wagga, NSW.

Vehicles offered for sale through AMCS are the responsibility of the Owner / Seller. AMCS acts as the Seller's agent and relies fully on the information provided by the Seller of the vehicle in the advertising and sale of each vehicle. AMCS takes no responsibility for the accuracy or veracity of the information provided by the Seller.

When a Buyer wishes to speak to the owner or inspect a vehicle listed for sale on the AMCS web site, AMCS will request a copy of the potential buyers driver's license or a business card along with an email address and phone number. This is provided to the seller as confirmation of the legitimacy of the buyer and the seller is then asked to contact the potential buyer to discuss the car and set up an inspection if required.

The Buyer must make his own enquiries and inspections regarding the condition, authenticity and veracity of the vehicle and any statements made by the Seller, and satisfy themselves in all aspects prior to purchasing the car from the Seller. The Buyer understands there is no warranty or guarantee offered by either the Seller or AMCS.

If upon inspection the Buyer is not satisfied with the car for any reason and does not wish to proceed with the purchase the owner is advised and any personal details are deleted from AMCS records.

If the Buyer is satisfied with the car and a price is agreed to with the Seller a formal tax invoice is prepared by AMCS and sent to the Buyer for payment to the AMCS audited Trust Account. AMCS also receives a formal Bill of Sale from the owner stating the car is free of encumbrance and noting banking details for the transaction. Once AMCS receives the total payment cleared into its trust account a transfer is then made to the Seller.

AMCS receives a fee of 7.5% (incl. GST) of the sale price for assisting the Seller to sell the vehicle. There is no fee or Buyer's premium charged to the Buyer.
