Who could forget Peter Brock and Jim Richards win in the 1979 Bathurst 1000 in the A9X Torana Hatchback. They led the race from start to finish, winning by SIX LAPS. And to add insult to injury, Brock broke the touring car lap record on his final lap while waving at his adoring fans. Nothing short of legendary for both Brock and the A9X. For sale is a stunning fully restored A9X Torana Hatchback Tribute. So good that you'd be hard pressed to tell whether it was the real deal or not. For sale from our Sydney Showroom.

The A9X is regarded as one of the toughest looking race and road car of the golden age of the Aussie homologation special muscle cars. To own one of the 100 genuine A9X Hatchbacks is at least a half a million dollar investment. And building a replica will cost big bucks and take at least a year to build. Making this stunning Palais White A9X Hatch Tribute a very attractive alternative.

Completed in 2018, this factory V8 Torana Hatch is now running a 440hp 355 Stroker motor with a 650 DP Holley, Edlebrock manifold, Pacemaker extractors, VN heads and hydraulic cam though a Tremec TKX 5 speed with Hurst shifter and then to a Borg Warner diff with a 31 spline tru trak diff centre and 3.9 gear ratios. The A9X Tribute is also running a full stainless 21/2" exhaust. The LX has covered a genuine 4,147 Kilometres since the full rebuild.

The LX was bare metal repainted in 2017 in 2 Pack Palais White and still presents in showroom condition throughout. The interior is all new in Black vinyl golf ball pattern with an A9X dash, SS ash tray, genuine steering wheel, Alpine stereo with Blue tooth and Autometer gauges fitted to the genuine SS dash. There are new carpets and a fully restored cargo area with new chip board flooring and twin Kenwood 6x9"speakers.

The Torana also features a reconditioned steering rack, Wilwood front brakes with a reconditioned brake booster, a new PBR master cylinder and brake lines. And the under body has been detailed and all bolts anodised. All less than 5,000 kilometres old.

The car is riding on Simmons V5s dished front with 225/60R15 Maxxis and 265/50R15 Maxxis on the rear. In the boot rims with new tyres including the spare.

There is nothing to spend on this one. Just jump in and enjoy. And unlike the real deal which is now too valuable to risk on the road, this beauty can be enjoyed as the Maker intended. On the road with your mates and family enjoying the wonderful Aussie summer in a legendary Tory.

From behind the wheel with that wonderful reverse air intake prominent in your field of vision, the throaty burble of the dual pea shooters out the back and the M21 4 speed in your left hand, we'd suggest that this Torana will certainly live up to the Holden Torana advertising catch phrase - "When you're Hot...You're Hot!"

Currently on full NSW registration with ALX355 plates included for NSW buyer. For sale from our Sydney Showroom. (Ref. 6585)

And if you like we will gladly arrange a video inspection/road test of the car using WhatsApp and of course there is no issue with door to door freight delivery anywhere in Australia or New Zealand.
