2009 Ford Shelby Mustang GT500KR ... (SOLD)

ONE OWNER personal import Shelby GT500KR purchased by the current owner in Houston, Texas in 2009 as a BRAND NEW CAR. The Shelby was then shipped to Australia and converted to RHD by Performax, QLD. The KR is a stock GT500KR Limited Edition model and one of only 712 built in 2009.

Build No. 316 runs the hand built matching numbers supercharged 32 valve DOHC fuel injected 5.4 L V8 with 540hp mated to the 6 speed short shifter manual gearbox with 3.73:1 rear axle. The car has covered a very well looked after 46,000 kilometres from new and comes with all import paperwork, receipts, log books and manuals. Only 278 Silver Metallic with Vista Blue stripes were built in 2009 making this a rare beast.

The King of the Road cars started life as GT500s and were then delivered to Shelby American for further performance and styling upgrades. The GT500KR features a special light weight carbon fibre twin scoop composite bonnet with hood pins, unique striping and badging and Alcoa forged aluminium 18" wheels.

The KR versions were treated to both engine and suspension tweaks delivered 40hp more than a standard GT500 along with a unique tune to the Ford Racing struts and shocks, Brembo brakes and exclusive Goodyear Eagle F1 tyres.

0-100kmh comes up in 4.3 seconds and the quarter mile disappears in 12.5 seconds with a terminal speed of 184 KM/H.

Always garaged, this Shelby is in immaculate condition and has been regularly serviced on a yearly basis and used sparingly by the original one owner.
