1966 Ford Mustang Coupe 289 V8

Now for sale is a Springtime Yellow '66 Mustang Coupe running the matching numbers 200hp 289ci 2V C code motor and C-4 auto. For sale from Gosford, NSW.

This has got to be one of the sweetest Mustangs we have seen for quite some time. Running the matching numbers 289 2V V8, the Mustang is presented in mostly original condition except for a repaint in the original Springtime Yellow 2 pack paint in Sydney in 2005. This is a rust and damage free car in excellent condition and the enthusiast owner has had the entire car fish oiled when the car was restored.

A San Jose, California built car the Mustang was imported to Australia in the late 1990s from California. Mechanically the original engine is in perfect condition and is fitted with a 2BBL carby with the standard exhaust manifold through to the delightful sounding dual exhaust system. The car has been meticulously maintained and is equipped with factory power boosted drum brakes and dual exhaust pipes.

The interior features the factory black vinyl trim, original dash, door cards, an after market steering wheel as well as the original steering wheel, original gauges and a factory Air conditioning system that is complete with compressor, pulleys etc but no longer fitted to the Mustang. The car is also fitted with factory power steering and t-bar C-4 automatic. The Mustang is fitted with the factory AM radio and a hidden modern stereo in the glove compartment. All gauges work perfectly as does the horn. All chrome, glass and brightwork are in excellent condition.

The Mustang is riding on 14" Cheviot alloy mag wheels with brand new Yokohama 225/60R14 tyres all round. The original Mustang hubcaps and a factory spare and tools are in the boot.

The Coupe has been in the loving care of the current owner since 2004. In addition to a lot of fond memories, the Mustang Coupe comes with past registration paperwork, service paperwork and receipts for works undertaken.

Original early build Mustangs are amongst the most desirable of the first generation Mustangs and a genuine car in a hero colour makes for a highly collectible and classic Ford.

On NSW club registration. Nothing to spend just enjoy this superb Coupe. Certainly a pleasure to own, a delight to drive and a real head turner.
