1971 Ford Falcon XY GT Replica - Vermilion Fire ... (SOLD)

Brand new restored Vermilion Fire 1971 XY GT Falcon Replica running a freshly rebuilt 351 Cleveland, 4 speed top loader and 9" diff. Built from an October, 1971 250 2V 4 speed Top Loader manual XY Falcon, this GT Replica has been treated to a 2 pack Vermilion Fire paint with all period correct GT blackouts and stripes. This is a brand new turn key car with photos and receipts of the build. For sale from our Sydney Showroom.

Freshly restored, the GT resto was completed in October, 2022. The 400-hp 2V Cleveland V8 has been freshened and features a 750 Vac Sec Holley, hydraulic cam, ported heads, 4V valves, high volume oil pump, large sump, extractors through to a 2 1/2 inch exhaust all the way to the rear. The 4 speed Top Loader gearbox has been completely reconditioned with new clutch, fly wheel and slave cylinder. The diff is a 9 inch with 28 spline axles and reconditioned LSD with 3.5:1 gear ratio.

The interior has been re-trimmed with new steering wheel, new carpet, console, door trims, arm rests, window winders, parcel shelf, crash pad, hood lining, dash and instruments. Even the heater box has been reconditioned and there is a reconditioned wiring harness front to back.

Fuel is supplied to the 351 via a new fuel pump, new fuel lines and a 36 gallon fuel tank with correct spare wheel bracket, new boot matt and spare wheel. Brakes have been completely reconditioned with new booster, master cylinder and brake lines. The rear brake shoes and drums have also been reconditioned.

The suspension has been re-bushed with new upper and lower control arms, big sway bar with link points and bushes, new King springs and shocks and new King leaf springs with new shackles and bushes. The Falcon even features the correct GT style cross member jacking support.

All chrome and stainless is new. The front windscreen is a new tinted band item with the remaining glass in excellent original condition.

Open the boot and there is a new boot mat, 36 gallon fuel tank with correct tie down for the spare and a spare 5 slot with new tyre.
