The car began as a one-owner from country Victoria. I acquired the car sight unseen and drove it home to Brisbane. I drove it as-is for a while sorting minor mechanical issues until I pulled the car down for the resto.

Start to finish took six months as I was on a clock. I farmed out the body work to trusted body shop 60's Rust at Jindalee and began doing all the other work: restoring brightwork, prepping and painting other parts, refurbishing the interior and so on.

After the bodywork came back I reassembled the car in record time as we had only one car to serve myself and my partner. Once it was complete I began driving it as my daily. For about a week. Then I began to get awfully concerned in shopping centre carparks.. so I relegated the Fairlane to weekend duties and we bought a small car for my partner. Now it rarely gets driven and is not out being driven like it should be. I hate that.
