This is a rare opportunity to become the owner of what is possibly the best preserved Falcon GT-HO Phase 3 in existence; unrestored and having covered only 27,211 original miles in nearly 40 years! This car is offered for genuine sale and is of the highest pedigree; it is an impeccable original example and has an extensive documented history that verifies its life through original logbooks & owner's manual, photos, past ownership details and letters, magazines etc. The car has been treasured and unmolested through 6 previous owners who always respected its significance.
Sold new by Rural motors in NSW in June 1971 the car was the 49th built by serial and is one of the approx 20 percent that had the Close ratio 31 spline Top Loader, 3.50 Diff gears and 31 spline axles. Options include left hand mirror, delete wax and laminated windscreen. The 8 Track was dealer fitted from new, as was the mechanical immobiliser (rare). All 5 globes are original 72 date coded rims with the spare retaining its original Aquajet.
All components on the car are correctly date coded even down to all glass including the original windscreen! The car still retains nearly all of its original consumables including Radiator & Heater hoses, spark plug leads, Brakes Pads & shoes, fan belt, Windscreen etc. Hang tags, radiator and coil tag are in place as are numerous original factory tags on wiring looms, even the paper tag on the Diff. The engine retains all of its original untouched ancillaries & HM Headers. Virtually every component on the car is day one original except the front spoiler and original Aquajet tyres which were retained by an owner in 2003, a magazine the car appeared in that same year clearly shows the car fitted with Aquajets.
The interior is untouched and PERFECT, the best original GT interior in existence without exaggeration.
In 2005 it was driven from Queensland to Ballarat for the 2005 GT Nationals where it won best unrestored Phase 3 and Best Unrestored GT-Overall from a large field of cars. It backed this up with another appearance at the 2009 Nationals held in Adelaide where it again won best unrestored Phase 3. It is extremely rare for a vehicle of this quality to be offered for general sale
All numbers match; correct X number on block, date codes on heads, sump, alternator, carby etc.
