No expense spared. Built by the best. Awesome performance.
Car is capable of Low 11 sec quarters. Todays build cost would exceed its list price. Engine build and Dyno tune documentation available.
It has a 1969 340 (small block) bored 30 over with TRW forged pistons with a 12.4:1 compression ratio. The bottom end has a forged steel crank with eagle 'H' beam steel rods. Fitted is a Crane solid F2 68 series cam linked to Magnum series Rollers. An MSD electronic ignition module mated to a MSD Billet distributor governs the spark. Has all the gauges which keep an eye on important things.
Prominent Mopar performance identity Peter Schaefer has extensively worked the heads with massive porting and braising which now allow them to flow a '574HP potential' at 600 lift on a flow bench. The heads have a 59cc chamber. The intake side is controlled by a highly modified 750DP RACE SERIES Holley with two fuel level sight glasses adapted to a Holley 850 base plate. This carburetor was custom made in America by the 'carb shop'. Exhaust gases flow via mandrel bent custom extractors passing into a dual 3" custom made mandrel bent exhaust.
Acclaimed engine builder Steve Toth of RPM Motorsports in Wetherill Park (located in close proximity to Western Sydney International Dragstrip) has configured and assembled this engine. Allowing it to launch is a Stage 2 - 727 Torqueflite with a 4800 rpm Dominator Hi - Stall converter connected to a narrowed 9" Diff fitted with 4.11 gears with a mini spool.
The car has a set of Centreline Convo Pro's with 15 x 4's and 165 firestones at the front. The rear has a pair of 15 x 8's with 12 inch wide N50 Mickey Thompsons. To click it through its paces it has a Hurst Pro - Ratchet shifter which prevents neutral selection at high rpm.
As expected, the car has been mini tubbed and accordingly, the rear leafs have been relocated. There is a custom made aluminium fuel tank being drained by a pair of Holley 'blue' fuel pumps. This engine cost $15,000 to build in 1993.
