As the best-selling two-seat convertible sports car in history, the global production of MX-5s had already exceeded one million by 2016. Debuted at the 1989 Chicago Auto Show, the MX-5 was modelled on the Lotus Elan and was designed to be the modern, dynamically balanced and minimally complex spiritual successor to 1950s and '60s Italian and British roadster sports cars.

Now in its fourth generation (ND), the MX-5 is offered as a convertible and also as a Retractable Fastback (RF) or Targa-style roof of which two versions are available. The standard RF and the highly optioned GT version.

For sale is a superb example of the RF GT. A ONE OWNER car, this Jet Black MX-5 has covered a genuine 13,573 km from new.
