Inside you're wrapped in lovely Onyx leather seats with Senator Signature badging throughout, a high end stereo system with Apple CarPlay, iPod connectivity and USB audio input, all the electric gadgetry and safety features you'd expect and yet under the bonnet is the enormous LS3 6.2 litre naturally aspirated V8 with 340kW of power and 570Nm of torque on tap to turn a leisurely trip around town into a raucous romp that would be quite at home on the local race track. Stick the boot in and the six-speed automatic – which features steering wheel paddles - responds intuitively and the engine winds out nicely, really coming alive from 3000rpm onwards when the exhaust fully opens to emit a growling note and the big-bore cylinders deliver a serious wallop of top-end power.

For sale is this Suttons Holden delivered Heron White HSV Senator Signature. Build No. 397 has covered a genuine log booked 36,950 kilometres and comes with an excellent service history. The Senator Signature comes fully loaded with 20" forged alloy wheels, leather-trimmed interior, dual-zone climate control, heated front seats and a premium Bose audio system within the multi-function screen that incorporates sat nav, reverse camera, Bluetooth connections and embedded radio apps as well as HSV's EDI performance display monitor.

There's also a spread of electronic toys that build on its six-airbag safety count such as a heads-up display, blind spot monitor, forward collision alert and lane departure warning.

Both the exterior and the interior of Build No. 397 are in excellent original condition. And mechanically the car has recently had a full service with new oils and filters and is registered in NSW.

The Senator Signature is a little bit of a sleeper within HSV's range. It doesn't get the headline-grabbing attention of the GTS nor is it as affordable as the Clubsport, but it holds true to the muscle car ethos in a more stylish, subdued manner.
