2010 FG FPV Falcon GS Ute - 454 rwkW ... (SOLD)

FPV's GS Ute was a hit from day dot. A useful work vehicle it also doubled as an affordable performance car with an engine that has plenty more to give in terms of power potential.

Based on the US-sourced 5.0 litre V8 that first came to light in the 2010 Ford Mustang, the Australian delivered Coyote V8s received significant development under the Miami Project at FPV’s engine plant in Victoria with a little extra help via a top-mount Harrop supercharger and a 75mm electronic throttle body. Off the showroom floor the GS delivered a very healthy and understated 315kW and 545Nm of road-ripping grunt.

Aftermarket tuners have been able to make some subtle mods to this wonderful factory package to deliver in excess of 400 kW at the wheels from simple modifications such as an ECU tune, intake and exhaust tweaks.

For sale is one such GS Ute. Running the all matching numbers 5 litre supercharged V8 and 6 speed manual gearbox with heavy duty twin plate clutch this log booked GS has been modified with the addition of a Flash 4 tune, fitment of smaller pulleys, a K&N filter, 1000 cc injectors, a Harrop intercooler kit plus replacement of the factory exhaust with a twin 3" system and twin Bosch 044 fuel pumps.

The result is 408.2 RwKW on the conservative tune with 98 octane petrol and 454.8 RwKW on E85 petrol.

FPV GS Ute Build No.103 presents nicely in it's original Sunburst orange pearl paint with the original black cloth trim and excellent flush-fit soft tonneau cover and tough-as-nails fully integrated bedliner. The GS comes with log books and 160,903 klms from new and Performance Dyno sheets.

Riding on 20" Simmons FR1 alloy rims with good rubber, the car comes with full NSW registration until April, 2021. Located in our Kingsgrove, Sydney showroom for your immediate inspection. (Ref. 5610)
