1999 Ford AU Fairlane Ghia Millennium … (SOLD)

Back in 1999, the world waited with baited breath to find out if aeroplanes would fall out of the sky and if computer systems would crash when the clock struck 12 midnight on December 31, 1999. There were huge celebrations around the world to welcome in the new Millennium. FORD even launched a limited edition Fairlane featuring $4,000 worth of extra equipment at no added cost to the punter to add some cheer to the celebrations.

The $50,990 Fairlane Millennium was externally identifiable by Millennium badges, 17" Tickford alloy wheels and a "smoked quartz" surround for the headlights.

Inside, the valued-added Fairlane featured a wooden switch surround on the centre console and Millennium logos on the front seats and front and rear floor mats. Ford also offered 2 years or 50,000 Klms of complimentary servicing for this Millennium edition Fairlane.

Three colours were available - Liquid Silver, Sparkling Burgundy and Congo Green and only 250 Millennium editions were built by Ford.

In unrestored Liquid Silver with Black leather trim this Fairlane has covered a log booked 240,575 Klms from new and runs the all matching numbers Tickford enhanced 4.0 Litre 6 cylinder engine and 4 speed automatic transmission. Originally sold through Courtney & Patterson Ford, Heidelberg, Victoria, the car comes with the original log books, manuals, service history, Ford compendium and Ford verification letter.

Mechanically the car drives and runs perfectly and has been regularly serviced. The Fairlane features Air-conditioning, power windows, power steering, factory stereo/CD/cassette player with 11 speakers, cruise control, dual front air bags and heaps of leg room for the back seat passengers. The Fairlane runs dual fuel and the system is current with plenty of years left for compliance. There are two new front tyres and the car is ready for the next owner to enjoy.
