1986 Ford F100 4WD ... (SOLD)

For sale is an Australian delivered factory RHD 1986 model F100 Cab/Chassis 4WD Ute that has been in the current ownership for the past 32 years. For sale from Bunbury area, WA.

Purchased by the current farmer owner in January, 1991, the truck has been lovingly cared for with no expense spared and many upgrades made to make this F100 the perfect Ute for the collector or someone wanting to use the vehicle to tow, carry or just do hard yakka.

Originally delivered by Ford with the first of the electronic fuel injected 302 V8 Windsor motors (runs on regular 91 RON unleaded) and the 3 speed manual gearbox, the F100 has now been upgraded to run a fully reconditioned Ford C6 3 speed automatic box with upgraded clutches, and a custom shifter fitted to the transmission tunnel all done properly using genuine Ford parts. The F100 is a factory 4WD model featuring high range and Low range and 2WD options.

The current owner built the heavy duty dropside tray in January 1991 as his farming business needed a heavy duty vehicle to transport pallets of fruit. The dropsides are strong enough to double as ramps for putting motor bikes or ATV's and UTV's on the tray. The tray also has a built in tool box under the tray as well as a standard 2" tow bar receiver tube. The rear springs have been upgraded to carry the full 1 - 1.5 tonne of fruit pallets on the tray when required. The F100 is fitted with factory dual 75 litre fuel tanks and the fuel gauge reads from whichever fuel tank is being drawn from.

Over the years the F100 has had various upgrades including a full restoration 5 years ago. Any rust was properly cut out and the F100 was repainted in the current paint scheme and is presented in a rust and damage free condition throughout. In addition, a factory integrated air conditioning system was installed. And a very rare set of 15" x 7" Minilite style, Performance alloy rims were sourced and these have Maxxis 980 Bravo A/T tyres fitted. Radial tyre size is 32x11.5x15 LT and these tyres have approx 30% tread left.

A fully reconditioned fuel injected 302 Windsor V8 was fitted at 180,000 klms and the Ute has now covered a genuine 318,605 Klms from new. The original matching numbers 302 fuel injected Windsor long motor is included in the sale. The original engine developed a knock in the big end and as the F100 was being regularly used for farm work, required an immediate engine change at the time. However, the original Windsor 302 V8 is suitable for rebuilding. Other parts replaced in the last few years include the radiator, power steering box, steering drag link, brake master cylinder, new shock absorbers and a new battery. Regular maintenance intervals for all other areas have been observed, with any oils and filters etc changed as required. The air conditioning system has been regularly checked and kept in good working order.

The exterior is also complemented by a custom built mild steel bull bar that has a LED light bar and a pair of HID driving lights fitted. A set of daytime running lights are set into the bar. On the bull bar are aerials for the radio, UHF and phone. On the cab rail of the tray is mounted a pair of adjustable work lights as well as an orange LED emergency beacon. The original rear view mirrors have been replaced with a smaller set of mirrors painted in the same colour as the body. The exterior has a custom paint scheme that really compliments the vehicle.

Over the years the interior has been transformed to include the fitment of bucket seats, new carpets, new roof lining with extra sound proofing on the rear firewall, central locking, immobiliser, power windows, rear camera, UHF, phone cradle and a new bluetooth capable AM/FM radio. Also a custom front console has been fitted that also has a large bin under the padded armrest. There is an extra power outlet on the console as well.

The F100 also comes with the two book F100 repair manuals, a spare drivers door and a set of 4 Sunraysia rims.

The F100 has been in the care of the current owner for 32 of its 37 years. Sadly it is time for it to go to a new owner who will appreciate this very unique and well looked after Ute.
