1985 Ford XF Falcon S Pack - Sno White ... (SOLD)

The XF Falcon was the last of the square Falcons that kicked off with the XD model back in 1979. Launched in 1984, Ford sold almost 280,000 XFs during its three-year reign, the best-selling Falcon model ever built by Ford Australia. For sale is this excellent XF Falcon S in Sno White with only 142,704 kilometres on the clock. For your inspection from our Sydney Showroom.

Gone was the V8 engine and in its place the EEC-IV electronic engine management system that better controlled the spark and fuel for improved fuel economy and drivability. The heads had larger intake valves and new high swirl combustion chambers that also contributed to the better fuel consumption. Three sixes were offered with the new 4.1-litre EFI engine, with 120kW at 4000 revs the pick of the bunch.

Wheels magazine tested an XF Falcon S-Pack equipped with the EFI engine and four-speed manual transmission in 1984. The XF S accelerated from 0 to 100 km/h in 9.3 seconds, ran the standing 400 metres in 16.4 seconds and ran to its 4500 rpm redline in fourth gear for a top speed of 190 km/h. These performance figures were only marginally behind the respective 8.9 seconds, 16.3 seconds and 194 km/h recorded for a 1982 XE Fairmont Ghia ESP equipped with the 5.8 litre V8 and four-speed manual transmission.

For sale is a low mileage unrestored example of the XF Falcon S. Originally sold through Hodgkison Ford, Warragul, Victoria on the 12th of November, 1985, the car has been sparingly used and presents in excellent unmodified condition throughout. In original Sno White with totally original matching Slate cloth trim, this XF features factory working Air conditioning and power steering.

The "S" pack is differentiated from the lesser Falcons with S body stripes, Hella fog lamps, styled wheels, Falcon "S" badging, steering rack adjustment, driver's lumbar support, driver's seat tilt and footrest and sports instrument cluster.

This XF S Pack comes with the original radio, weather shields for both front windows, front windscreen sunvisor, owners log books and manuals plus a spare wheel/tyre and tools.
