After 20 years of Cortinas, the TF Cortina Ghia was a fitting finale for the brand. Running the same engine as an XD Falcon, the trusty 4.1 litre (250 cubic inch) Cross-flow alloy-head motor, the TF Cortina was the best equipped and most technologically advanced of the entire Cortina range. Known in Australia as TF, this range was released to the Australian public in November 1980 and finished its short production life in late 1981 giving way to the Ford Meteor and Telstar. Standard features on the TF Ghia range included power-steering, factory air-conditioning, tachometer, oil pressure gauge, trip counter on the speedo, factory alloy mag wheels, velour seats and door trims. For sale is one of the most original and best presented TF Cortinas we have seen. A one previous owner car purchased by the current owner in 2018 from Shannons in Melbourne, the Ghia features all original Silver Grey paint and mint Palomino velour trim. It has covered a very low genuine 61,266 kilometres from new and comes with the original owner log books and service history. It even still has a Retell Ford dealer sticker on the rear window. Paint and panel are in amazing condition for an original car and the interior is what you would expect from a 60,000 klm car. Minimum wear with everything in excellent working condition. Mechanically the car has been lovingly maintained and runs and drives superbly. The Cortina is riding on it's original 14" Cortina alloy rims and new Dunlop tyres with spare, tools and original boot carpet. In our Kingsgrove, Sydney showroom for your immediate inspection. And if you are unable to travel due to Covid restrictions, AMCS will gladly arrange a video inspection/road test of the car using WhatsApp, and of course there is no issue with door to door freight delivery anywhere in Australia or New Zealand.
