Throughout the 1970s and 80s, the One Tonne Holden utilities (aka ‘The One Tonner’) were the vehicle of choice for Aussie tradies. Today, whether as a collectable, a workhorse or a tow vehicle they remain instantly recognisable and admired. And this WB has been set up perfectly from front to back.

Purchased by the current owner in 2020 from the original farmer owner from Coonabarabran, NSW the WB was in stock standard condition with all original panels and running gear. This Tradie Pack WB was used as the farmers hay hauler but had never been damaged or had rust. The current owner wanted to build a Holden Ute to sit next to his VK SS Group A Commodore so set to work building the WB you now see. Starting with the engine, the WB was fitted with a period correct HX Holden 4.2 Litre V8 engine fully reconditioned with a Rochester carby, 4BBL Holden manifold, Edlebrock air cleaner, alloy radiator and fully reconditioned power steering. The Ute is fitted with Wildcat extractors rough to a 2 1/2" exhaust with in-line mufflers and chrome tip.

The WB was bare metal rotisserie restored in 2021 and painted in 2 pack Formula Blue with a stunning mixed spotted gum timber tray finished to perfection in multiple coats of high quality decking oil. All chrome and stainless has been restored as has the grill and headlight surrounds. The WB is also fitted with front disc brakes, heavy duty rear springs and a 10 Bolt rear end. The owner spent an enormous amount of time detailing the undercarriage with particular emphasis on the underside of the Spotted Gum tray.

On the inside the WB is stock with a retrim in grey vinyl with new hood lining and carpet while retaining the original WB standard dash with a super low genuine 62,188 Kilometres on the clock from new. The dash features all working instruments and a timber SAAS steering wheel and the WB has never had a radio fitted.

The WB is riding on polished Cheviot Alloy wheels with Nankang 225/60R14 on the front and Nankang 235/60R14s on the rear.

This WB One Tonner is a real beauty in stunning showroom condition, drives perfectly and is ready to show, work or play!
