While Commodore enthusiasts will always be more drawn to Peter Brock’s VC HDT Commodore, one interesting innovation for the VC SL/E model was the option of Shadow Tone paintwork which has become highly desired nowadays by Commodore collectors. If you couldn’t stretch your budget all the way to a HDT, then a V8 SL/E with Shadow Tone paint would have been a pretty good alternative. And who wouldn't love one now?!

This stunning SURVIVOR SL/E comes standard with the factory 334 Pack options including air conditioning, cruise control, electric windows, central locking and rear head rests. Originally sold by Melville Motors, Perth on the 6th of June 1980, this genuine ONE LADY OWNER example is still running the matching numbers 253 V8 mated to the trusty Trimatic 3 speed automatic gearbox, 4 wheel disc brakes and LSD rear end. The car has had an older closed door respray and has recently been thoroughly serviced by Munster Muscle in Perth and is now is full roadworthy condition.

On the inside, the SL/E features all the comforts of the 1980s with Carmine Red velour trim, single spoked leather finished steering wheel, integrated A/C, P/W, power steering, central locking, cruise control, clock and radio/cassette player with rear seat speakers. Everything works including all the gauges and the radio. The A/C is needing a compressor only and the front electric windows have been converted to manual with working rear electric windows.

Other luxuries rarely seen in the early 80's were rear seat head rests and headlight wiper/washers.

The SL/E is riding on the factory 15" alloy rims including the spare with excellent rubber and the boot is fitted with the factory wall to wall carpeting and factory tools.

This survivor Commodore is supplied with the original owners log books and owners manuals and has covered a genuine 145,918 KILOMETRES from new.
