For many years Ford enthusiasts thought that the plastic bumper Falcons would never achieve ‘classic’ status. Although praised for their excellent comfort and road manners huge numbers of these XD and XE Falcons were neglected into oblivion. But with their position in local Ford lore now defined, demand is climbing and increasing money is being paid for very good cars especially those that were factory 351 V8 equipped.

Best described as a good honest survivor, this XD Fairmont has covered a genuine 222,312 klms from new and has obviously been well looked after, garaged and serviced to have been preserved this well. Recent maintenance includes new Monroe shocks and Kings springs all round, wheel alignment, new battery, brake booster, starter motor, and full engine and transmission service. Still equipped with the Day one Carter AFB Thermoquad four barrel carby. Power windows and air conditioning fully functioning, and door handles work fine.

Besides a few stone chip sized touch ups the body and paint are exceptional for an original unrestored car and the interior trim, dash, wheel, seat vinyl, belts and carpets are in near perfect condition.

Riding on 15" Gold Simmons rims with good rubber, and a dual exhaust this Fairmont comes with an owners manual, spare keys, Rare Spares decal kit and several period motor magazines covering the release and road testing of the XD Falcon range.
