For sale is a rare 1977 HX Monaro GTS 5 Litre V8 and M41 T-400 auto in stunning Cotillion White with signature Slate black with a cloth insert seat trims. A head turning Monaro GTS located in our Sydney Showroom for your inspection.
Arriving on the scene in July 1976, the HX model incorporated design changes to meet the new government anti-pollution requirements. The Monaro coupe was now gone from the HX line-up but the Monaro GTS was every bit the extroverted Aussie muscle car.
With bold colours, large GTS decals, colour-keyed mirror and bumpers, integrated body-coloured spoilers and optional bonnet black-out, the HX is regarded as one of the most distinctive of all the four door Monaros.
For sale is a stunning example of the HX GTS Monaro. Running the original 308 V8 L31 engine optioned with the bullet proof M41 T-400 automatic gearbox and Salisbury rear end, this all matching numbers HX Monaro GTS is presented in stunning condition throughout. Purchased by the current custodian in 2007, the HX was bare metal restored in 2008 while the engine bay was left unrestored. The body is super clean with no rust, dents or damage whatsoever. The only mod is the addition of the twin headlight Premier front end.
The current enthusiast owner has fitted an electronic distributor, a mild cam, serviced the 4BBL Rochester and fitted Genie extractors. A Sunday driver for the current owner, the HX has now covered a genuine 232,294 km from new.
This HX Monaro GTS has never been modified or abused just maintained in good order all it's life. Easy to drive, tight as a drum and absolutely reliable. With working integrated air conditioning, the smooth changing M41 T-400 automatic and power steering it's a great cruiser. The air conditioning has been recently re-gassed and the car has also been fully serviced.
The interior has been retrimmed in the original NOS Houndstooth trim with original hood lining, sun visors, dash pad and steering wheel. The carpet has also been replaced. The clock, heater demister, dwell wipers and heater are all in perfect working condition. The electric windows work although the front electric windows are a little slow. The HX is fitted with a Pioneer CD player and the original AM radio is included with the sale.
Open the boot and the spare tyre and factory tools are still in place.

Vehicles offered for sale through AMCS are the responsibility of the Owner / Seller. AMCS acts as the Seller's agent and relies fully on the information provided by the Seller of the vehicle in the advertising and sale of each vehicle. AMCS takes no responsibility for the accuracy or veracity of the information provided by the Seller.
When a Buyer wishes to speak to the owner or inspect a vehicle listed for sale on the AMCS web site, AMCS will request a copy of the potential buyers driver's license or a business card along with an email address and phone number. This is provided to the seller as confirmation of the legitimacy of the buyer and the seller is then asked to contact the potential buyer to discuss the car and set up an inspection if required.
The Buyer must make his own enquiries and inspections regarding the condition, authenticity and veracity of the vehicle and any statements made by the Seller, and satisfy themselves in all aspects prior to purchasing the car from the Seller. The Buyer understands there is no warranty or guarantee offered by either the Seller or AMCS.
If upon inspection the Buyer is not satisfied with the car for any reason and does not wish to proceed with the purchase the owner is advised and any personal details are deleted from AMCS records.
If the Buyer is satisfied with the car and a price is agreed to with the Seller a formal tax invoice is prepared by AMCS and sent to the Buyer for payment to the AMCS audited Trust Account. AMCS also receives a formal Bill of Sale from the owner stating the car is free of encumbrance and noting banking details for the transaction. Once AMCS receives the total payment cleared into its trust account a transfer is then made to the Seller.
AMCS receives a fee of 7.5% (incl. GST) of the sale price for assisting the Seller to sell the vehicle. There is no fee or Buyer's premium charged to the Buyer.
