1975 HJ GTS Monaro 5 Litre 4 speed ... (SOLD)

Here is a great opportunity for a handy person to complete the restoration of this super rare HJ GTS Monaro.

In Absinth yellow with Slate black trim, this 1975 HJ GTS Monaro is running the all matching numbers 308 L31 V8 and factory M21 4 speed manual gearbox. And if thats not cool enough, this HJ was optioned from new with the rare and ultra desirable Golde slide back sunroof.

A lot of work has already gone into this GTS and the car now requires some body work and then a repaint to finish off the restoration. This is an accident free car with no structural rust but there is rust in the bottom of the doors and in the rear quarters. The current owner has had all the front panels removed, sandblasted and etched primed and refitted. The boot spoiler is snot fitted but is supplied with the car. The front inner guards and radiator support have been painted in black and the radiator has been reconditioned with a new core. The car has had a brand new 2.5" inch twin exhaust system fitted. And the genuine GTS rims have all been re-rolled, blasted and painted with new Centre caps and new tyres.

The Sunroof opens and closes perfectly and the interior has been retrimmed as per factory with new carpet. Roof lining and complete dashboard are all original as are the gauges and the original radio.

The ID tags have never been removed and the GTS starts, drives and runs well. The engine was rebuilt by the previous owner and has done less than 5,000 kilometres since, has no oil leaks and purrs along nicely. The car comes with a Holden Historical Services verification letter.
