1974 Holden HJ Monaro GTS … (SOLD)

Here is a great opportunity to acquire a very original HJ GTS Monaro running the original 4.2L V8, factory M20 4 speed manual gearbox and 3.08 diff. For sale from our Sydney Showroom.

In its original Mandarin Red colour with Chamois interior and matching cloth seat inserts, this 1974 HJ GTS Monaro is a rare complete all matching numbers car.

Sold originally through Williams Brothers, Ballina, NSW in January 1975, the Monaro served as family transport for several years until it was shedded resulting in the indicated very low mileage of 46,960 kilometres. The original owner repainted the car in Acrylic paint approximately 30 years ago with the bonnet and boot lid blackouts added at that time. With an excellent body this is a very solid rust and damage free Monaro.

Mechanically the car has been maintained, recently fully serviced, runs strong with the original 2BBL Stromberg carby, standard manifold and dealer fitted power steering.

The interior is all original from the seat covering, door cards, carpets, roof lining and dashboard with working gauges and a factory AM radio.

The boot area is super clean with the original boot mat, spare wheel cover, 14" GTS rim spare with an older tyre and factory tools.

The genuine GTS rims are in very good condition with centre caps and dress rims. Tyres are near new Federal 205/60R14s all round.

The ID tags have never been removed and the body number is spot on. The GTS drives like a new car and presents a great opportunity for a Holden enthusiast to get into a very genuine HJ GTS.
