1973 Dodge Challenger Rallye 440 V8 ... (SOLD)

1973 Dodge Challenger Rallye 440 4 speed now for sale, located in Perth, WA.

Originally a factory small block 318 V8 4 speed car, now running a 440 big block with an A833 New Process 4 speed and 8 3/4 rear end.

Imported by the current long term owner 16 years ago from San Francisco, California, the car was bare metal resprayed 12 years ago in PPG Charcoal with PPG Orange pearl stripes.

Mechanically, the 440 runs strong with only 8,000 kms since it was rebuilt. The engine features a mild cam, 700 Holley double pumper, 3 core radiator, new fuel pump, lines and sender and 50 series Flow Masters on the 2 1/2" exhaust. The car also runs a new brake booster and master cylinder.

A new clutch and fly wheel were installed 8 months ago. And the rear mains rope seal has been replaced with a Neoprene item. Also the front discs have been skimmed, new bearings and new front brake pads fitted.

The interior is clean and has been restored with a new trim kit fitted to the original seat frames. The car also was fitted with new carpet, hood lining, crash pad, seat belts with original rear seat belts and door cards. Dash is excellent and all gauges are in working order except for the clock.

The owner has added his personal touch by removing the door handles and fuel filler. The doors are opened using remote control poppers (manual overrides are fitted). The fuel filler is installed inside the boot with a catch can for any overflow.

Wheels are genuine Police interceptor rims with Remington 50x15x295 rear 50x15x235 on the front. This is a very tidy example of the iconic '70 Challenger, and is turn-key ready to go.

The car also comes with the Californian number plates, import paperwork and Certificate of Title. Currently on Historic registration. Available for inspection in Perth, WA. (Ref. 5951)
