1971 HQ Holden Monaro LS Street Machine - Black Beauty ... (SOLD)

Tough Streeter GTS built from a 1971 HQ LS Monaro coupe. Black Beauty was fully restored from the ground up 6 years ago.

Running a brand new 620hp 400ci Dart block with Scat crank, AFR alloy heads, MSD ignition, 950 HP Holley, Holley bug catcher painted to match the car, extractors, high flow water pump, an Aussie Desert cooler radiator and twin thermo fans. New turbo 350 transmission with 3,500 high stall and B&M Quick shifter with standard pattern through to a shortened 9" diff with 3.55:1 gears and 31 spline Mosser axles. Under 3,450 kilometres since rebuild.

New everything including brakes, new rubbers, bushes, ball joints, shockers etc. New 50 litre alloy fuel cell. All new wiring harness installed which has been hidden inside the guards to keep the engine bay super clean and uncluttered. New 3" exhaust and new Centreline wheels with 195x65x15 Sonar tyres front and 255x60x15 Mickey Thompson tyres on the rear.

Repainted in Lexus Metallic Black 6 years ago and reupholstered with black LS trim at the same time. Interior features genuine GTS dash and steering wheel both in excellent condition. All gauges work plus the owner has added VDO fuel, oil and temp for safety. All chrome redone at the time of the restoration. New CD player in the glovebox.

Very streetable and easy to cruise with nothing to spend. Great show car that attracts heaps of attention. Featured as Black Beauty on the Bumper 2 Bumper car show on Channel 41 out of Melbourne, VIC. Mature owner. Has never been dragged raced or done any burnouts.
