1971 Holden HG Monaro GTS 308 V8 ... (SOLD)

Now for sale is this unrestored 1971 HG GTS Monaro 308 V8 4 speed manual in stunning Electra Blue Metallic with Black and White Houndstooth trim, located in our Sydney Showroom.

Football, Meat pies, Kangaroos and Holden cars!!! There's nothing more Aussie than a Holden Monaro. And there's nothing more sought after than a very original and unmolested Monaro GTS.

Unrestored all matching numbers '71 HG GTS Monaro running the factory installed 308 V8 and 4 speed manual Saginaw gearbox, this Monaro is optioned from new with tramp rods, rare power steering, Fridgedaire working underdash air conditioning, AM radio with speaker control knob and the Sidewinder stripes deleted.

The car was closed door resprayed in the 1990s and still features original acrylic paint in the engine bay, door jambs and boot. Importantly, the compliance plates have never been removed from the firewall. In fact, it's so original that it still has it's diff oil plastic tag placed on the diff drain bolt.

The interior is all original with all the Houndstooth in good condition for it's age. The dash, steering wheel and crash pad are in excellent condition and all gauges are working properly. The car features original carpets, seat belts and glass including the front windscreen. Showing 116,890 miles and believed to be genuine.

The owner has recently spent $6,000 with receipts that included rebuilding the carburettor, distributor, chemically cleaning the fuel tank, replacing the power steering lines and fitting new tyres.

The HG GTS is riding on original GTS steel rims with genuine hubcaps and the boot is fitted with the a vinyl boot mat, spare and tools.
