1969 XW Ford Fairmont
What a beautiful original well preserved example of the 1969 XW Fairmont Sedan. Now for sale from Gold Coast, QLD.
Original condition 1969 XW Fairmont purchased by the current owner in 2006 from a family friend who was the original owner. Originally sold through Peter Warren Ford in Fairfield, Sydney, the XW has been garaged all its life. And it shows. The original Reef Green Metallic paint is in amazing condition for a 53 year old car with nil rust other than a couple of bubbles on the bonnet and some minor parking lot dents that will dent bust out easily.
The Saddle trim is in near perfect condition with minor parting of the stitching on the driver's seat base. The crash pad, steering wheel and all gauges are in excellent condition as are the original door cards, carpeting and hood lining.
The car is powered by a trusty 3.6 litre, 221 CID 6 cylinder and the 3 speed Ford-O-Matic column shift auto. The car has been meticulously serviced and comes with an owners manual and complete service history with everything spent on the car over its lifetime written and dated in note books. There are also NSW registration papers for many years from the original owners custodianship. The XW also comes with an original set of keys. The XW is showing 119,833 miles and has covered only 3,966 miles in the ownership of the current owner since 2006.
It has all original rubbers and glass and the chrome on this car is immaculate. There is still the original Peter Warren dealer sticker on the back window. The car features original Ford mud flaps front and rear, a front windscreen sun shade and an Aunger rear window louvre.
The car is riding on the original 14" steel rims, perfect Fairmont hub caps and excellent rubber.
Open the boot and you have a super well preserved original rubber boot mat, original steel spare and tools.
With the Fairmont comforts it drives like you are on a cloud. It is a 5 seater but has a fold down “dicky seat” in the front middle that doubles as an arm rest. It comes with period slide on head rests for the front seats.
This is a great survivor, barn find example and deserves to be preserved as Ford intended.
Located in Gold Coast, QLD for your inspection. (Ref: 5931)
If you wish we will gladly arrange a video tour/inspection of the car using WhatsApp and of course there is no issue with door to door enclosed transport anywhere in Australia or New Zealand.
