1968 Ford Falcon XT Ute 302 V8 ... (SOLD)

A rare sight indeed. A genuine XT Falcon Ute originally ordered with a 302 Windsor V8 and 3 speed column manual shifter. Fully restored and now for sale from our Sydney Showroom.

What started life as a mild mannered Polar White V8 powered work ute has now morphed into something quite special. The focus here was to build an understated but super tidy stock looking Falcon Ute in the original exterior colour while hiding a pleasant surprise under the bonnet to give the car some extra go and giving her a splash of GT styling and comfort on the inside.

The work started with a full repaint to the exterior in 2 pack Polar white with reflective red XT GT side stripes. The body was bare metal repainted in 2014, the chrome was polished, a sedan spec rear bumper installed and the engine bay prepared in matt black.

Then the focus shifted under the bonnet. A Cleveland 393 stroker engine was built with Scat crank, Scat N beam rods, SRP forged pistons, EVL one piece S/S valves, Crow Springs, K-Motion collets, Mellings high velocity oil pump, 10L sump, Yella Terra rollers and Waggot cam. The XT is fitted with MSD ignition plus a huge 3 core aluminium radiator. Gears are swapped through a GT 4 speed Top Loader box with double plate clutch, a balanced flywheel and balanced tail shaft and through to a 9" LSD. The front end has been rebuilt and Fairlane power steering fitted.

On the inside the seats have been retrimmed in XT GT style black coverings and a full XY GT Falcon dash with 8,000 tacho, 140 MPH speedo and Fuel, Temp and Oil pressure gauges plus the XY GT rim blow steering wheel have been fitted. There's new carpets, hood lining and inertia reel seat belts plus a Sony CD player.

The tray is finished in checker plate with matching tool boxes, fire extinguisher and an excellent tonneau cover.

The Ute is riding on XY GT 5 slot rims with new red walled tyres.
