Genuine and very rare 1965 XP Ford Fairmont in the same family for over 40 years. Originally used as family transport, then shedded for over 20 years before it was pulled out and restored with new paint in 2012. The car still runs the original 200 Super Pursuit 6 cylinder motor and 3 speed column shift Borg Warner T35 automatic gearbox. Always a South Australian car, this XP Fairmont was delivered originally through Maughan Thiem, Ford in Adelaide to the original owners in Beulah Park, SA on 22/12/65. The car still retains it's original log books and service manual with 76,932 miles showing and believed to be original. This is the first of the disc brake front end Falcons and although the car has been repainted inside and out, the car still retains the original interior trim from the door trims, seat trims, dash, hood lining etc. The original AM radio is still fitted as are the original mint Fairmont hub caps and the XP has it's spare with all factory tools in the boot. Other than a newer AM/FM/CD player and speakers and an electric fuel pump, this Fairmont is unmolested and original. The Fairmont has been in the care of a motor mechanic for over 40 years and has been well looked after and preserved and will be a rewarding and reliable driver. The car has no rust and has had an accident free history. The chrome is good for its age and the glass is in excellent condition with all original glass except for the windscreen. SA registration until February, 2022. Plates N/T. Adelaide car for your inspection. (AMCS Ref: 5717) AMCS will gladly arrange a video inspection/road test of the car using WhatsApp, and of course there is no issue with door to door freight delivery anywhere in Australia or New Zealand.
