What a knockout US Classic! For sale is a stunning genuine 20,201 mile 1956 Ford Customline Tudor in Meadow Mist Green with Green Cloth trim and running the matching numbers 272 ci OHV - 2V V8. For sale from our Sydney Showroom.

The 1950s saw the beginnings of rock and roll with Elvis Presley, sideburns, Hoola hoops and the rise in popularity of the drive in movies. It also saw the production of some classic motor cars including Ford's Customline. In 1956, the Customline model slotted between the Fairlane and the base model Mainline and was offered as a Tudor and Fordor sedan body and as a pillarless Customline Victoria 2-door hardtop.

A big family sports cruiser, the Customline Tudor sedan featured an unique bodyside moulding, bright hubcaps and interior features considered a luxury in its price class: two sunvisors; armrests front and rear; rear passenger assist straps mounted on the B pillars; and a choice of blue checker cloth or green or gray weave nylon cloth paired with vinyl.

Powered by the overhead valve Y-block V8, 12 volt electrics and the Fordomatic automatic transmission option, for sale is a genuine low mileage survivor 1956 Ford Customline Tudor Sedan.

The current owner purchased the car from Hemmings Auctions in the USA four years ago. The Customline had been on display in a museum for over 30 years and had just over 20,000 miles on the clock. On arrival i Australia, the current owner had the Tudor repainted in 2 Pack externally leaving the engine bay, interior, boot and all chrome remaining day one original.

The interior is in immaculate original condition throughout with original Green Cloth trim, original steering wheel, gauges and valve radio. The current owner has fitted NOS Ford carpet.

Mechanically, the Tudor is day one original having been maintained but never rebuilt. The engine still presents as new with the original oil bath aircleaner, original Ford windscreen washer reservoir and even the original V8 Ford stickers on the rocker covers. The owner has replaced the battery and also reconditioned the radiator.

Open the boot and the original boot mat, spare wheel fitted with the original tyre and factory tools are all still in their place.

The Customline is riding on new White walled antique tyres with immaculate factory chrome hub caps.

The Customline is supplied with factory documentation, import paperwork plus the Hemmings Auction sale details.

Vehicles offered for sale through AMCS are the responsibility of the Owner / Seller. AMCS acts as the Seller's agent and relies fully on the information provided by the Seller of the vehicle in the advertising and sale of each vehicle. AMCS takes no responsibility for the accuracy or veracity of the information provided by the Seller.

When a Buyer wishes to speak to the owner or inspect a vehicle listed for sale on the AMCS web site, AMCS will request a copy of the potential buyers driver's license or a business card along with an email address and phone number. This is provided to the seller as confirmation of the legitimacy of the buyer and the seller is then asked to contact the potential buyer to discuss the car and set up an inspection if required.

The Buyer must make his own enquiries and inspections regarding the condition, authenticity and veracity of the vehicle and any statements made by the Seller, and satisfy themselves in all aspects prior to purchasing the car from the Seller. The Buyer understands there is no warranty or guarantee offered by either the Seller or AMCS.

If upon inspection the Buyer is not satisfied with the car for any reason and does not wish to proceed with the purchase the owner is advised and any personal details are deleted from AMCS records.

If the Buyer is satisfied with the car and a price is agreed to with the Seller a formal tax invoice is prepared by AMCS and sent to the Buyer for payment to the AMCS audited Trust Account. AMCS also receives a formal Bill of Sale from the owner stating the car is free of encumbrance and noting banking details for the transaction. Once AMCS receives the total payment cleared into its trust account a transfer is then made to the Seller.

AMCS receives a fee of 7.5% (incl. GST) of the sale price for assisting the Seller to sell the vehicle. There is no fee or Buyer's premium charged to the Buyer.
