How gutsy is Ford Australia to build their very own unique ultra high performance Mustang right here in Australia? Evolving from a partnership between Ford Australia and Herrod Performance is the spectacular 2020 Ford Mustang R-SPEC.

This is an Australian developed and fully overhauled version of the super popular MY20 Mustang running a professionally engineered, tried and tested Roush 2.65 litre supercharger mated to the 5.0 litre Coyote V8, producing 522kW or more than 700hp when strapped into the new Mustang. All covered by Ford Australia's new car warranty.

R-SPECs also come packaged with Ford Performance fully calibrated lowered suspension with MagneRide dampers, larger adjustable swaybars, staggered alloy wheels with 10-inch-wide rear wheels and wearing meaty 275-section Michelin performance tyres. And boy does it go, try 4.7 seconds to 100 kilometres per hour.

Plus it looks great too. In stunning Velocity Blue with blacked out badges, bonnet air intakes and striping reminiscent of the R-SPEC GT Falcons, the neat circular shift knob similar to the original Mustang's Hurst shifter makes this an eye catching, head turning Aussie inspired Mustang muscle car.

Each Mustang R-SPEC is individually numbered on the dash as well as on the top of the supercharger. This one now for sale is Build No. 420 of the 500 built by Herrod and Ford.

All R-Specs were sold out immediately, so this is a great opportunity to grab one of these exciting Aussie bred Mustang supercars. Highly collectible and sure to appreciate into the future, the R-SPEC comes with all Ford documentation and only 8,067 kilometres on the clock.
