The mighty VL HDT SS Group A was released in November, 1986 as the next Group A homologation special. Created specifically to approve the next round of upgrades and the new VL model for the intensely competitive Group A Touring Car Championship of the time. Now for sale is Build No. 497/500 with a log booked 137,198 km on the clock. For sale from our Sydney Showroom.

You'll feel Bathurst running through this car. From the protruding NACA open air bonnet scoop that helps feed the carburetted V8 engine the colder air from the base of the windscreen, to the fitted Scheel seats, Momo steering wheel and gear knob, to the throaty roar of the 4.9L V8 and the smooth shifting T-5G gearbox, the VL Group A exudes muscle.

Build number 497 is totally stock, running the all matching Group A LV2 4.9L engine with factory Holden heavy duty crankshaft and conrods, the trusty Rochester four barrel carby, Crane roller rockers, improved camshaft profiles, combustion changer shapes and exhaust system. The engine is mated to the excellent factory Borg-Warner T5-G five speed manual, while inside the cabin, sculptured 'Scheel' bucket seats hold you comfortably in the drivers seat along with the signature Brock left foot support and Momo steering wheel with HDT gear knob.

Obviously well loved by its previous 2 owners, this Brockie is in excellent condition throughout. A country Victorian car, Build No. 497 has been repainted on the exterior in Permanent Red with a recent repaint to the front bar due to stone chips. The interior is totally original and in excellent condition with no rips or tears and only very minor wear to the drivers bolster. Sitting inside this Brock Group A is a very nice place to be. You can feel Peter Brock's influence and the whole car just works so well.

Number 497 has covered a genuine 137,198 klms from new and comes with the original log book, owners manual, two sets of keys, and past Victorian registration certificates from 1997. In addition, the VL is fitted with a number of HDT Plus Pack items including the correct rear window Polariser sticker, engine bay "Polariser" and yellow valve covers. The VL has recently been fully serviced and is ready to be enjoyed by the next Brock Commodore enthusiast.

Riding on the original stunning MOMO star wheels with brand new Bridgestone Potenza rubber, this is a Brock that you should buy if your intention is to drive your Brock Commodore rather than just storing it.

In our Sydney showroom for your inspection. (Ref. 6634)

When a Buyer wishes to speak to the owner or inspect a vehicle listed for sale on the AMCS web site, AMCS will request a copy of the potential buyers driver's license or a business card along with an email address and phone number. This is provided to the seller as confirmation of the legitimacy of the buyer and the seller is then asked to contact the potential buyer to discuss the car and set up an inspection if required.

If upon inspection the Buyer is not satisfied with the car for any reason and does not wish to proceed with the purchase the owner is advised and any personal details are deleted from AMCS records.

If the Buyer is satisfied with the car and a price is agreed to with the Seller a formal tax invoice is prepared by AMCS and sent to the Buyer for payment to the AMCS audited Trust Account. AMCS also receives a formal Bill of Sale from the owner stating the car is free of encumbrance and noting banking details for the transaction. Once AMCS receives the total payment cleared into its trust account a transfer is then made to the Seller.

AMCS receives a fee of 7.5% (incl. GST) of the sale price for assisting the Seller to sell the vehicle. There is no fee or Buyer's premium charged to the Buyer.
