1978 XC Falcon GS - 5.8 Litre 4 Speed
Immaculate '78 XC Falcon 5.8 litre GS Rally Pack now for sale, in its original combo of Pine Lime with Saddle interior as per the accompanying Ford letter.
Optioned with the 5.8 litre 351 cubic inch Cleveland 4 bbl motor, and 4 speed manual gearbox. Motor has been refreshed with a mild cam, and running extractors and new dual exhaust. Very tidy unmolested under bonnet presentation. It starts perfectly, feels crisp and torquey down low and and is actually quite a rapid car.
Also refreshed or replaced are the clutch and brakes. The gearbox and linkage feel in excellent condition, a pleasure to use. Being a factory 5.8 litre optioned car this car comes standard with 4 wheel disc brakes and 9 inch LSD diff.
With the current owner for 4 years, the car is showing 233,000kms, and has been restored with new paint on a dead straight rust free body. The doors feel tight and all handles and latches are in excellent working order.
Also features a recent tidy up of the original interior, with new seat trim with cloth inserts and new carpets. The original console and lid are in perfect condition, and the GS dash and steering wheel are in excellent condition with only two fine cracks on the dash pad. All gauges are working. The car appears to have had a tape deck but is now removed.
Chrome and glass are in excellent condition. Boot and spare are very tidy. Running 14 x 7" chrome 12 slotters with new 235/60/14 tyres.

Vehicles offered for sale through AMCS are the responsibility of the Owner / Seller. AMCS acts as the Seller's agent and relies fully on the information provided by the Seller of the vehicle in the advertising and sale of each vehicle. AMCS takes no responsibility for the accuracy or veracity of the information provided by the Seller.
When a Buyer wishes to speak to the owner or inspect a vehicle listed for sale on the AMCS web site, AMCS will request a copy of the potential buyers driver's license or a business card along with an email address and phone number. This is provided to the seller as confirmation of the legitimacy of the buyer and the seller is then asked to contact the potential buyer to discuss the car and set up an inspection if required.
The Buyer must make his own enquiries and inspections regarding the condition, authenticity and veracity of the vehicle and any statements made by the Seller, and satisfy themselves in all aspects prior to purchasing the car from the Seller. The Buyer understands there is no warranty or guarantee offered by either the Seller or AMCS.
If upon inspection the Buyer is not satisfied with the car for any reason and does not wish to proceed with the purchase the owner is advised and any personal details are deleted from AMCS records.
If the Buyer is satisfied with the car and a price is agreed to with the Seller a formal tax invoice is prepared by AMCS and sent to the Buyer for payment to the AMCS audited Trust Account. AMCS also receives a formal Bill of Sale from the owner stating the car is free of encumbrance and noting banking details for the transaction. Once AMCS receives the total payment cleared into its trust account a transfer is then made to the Seller.
AMCS receives a fee of 7.5% (incl. GST) of the sale price for assisting the Seller to sell the vehicle. There is no fee or Buyer's premium charged to the Buyer.
