1977 Holden Torana SL Hatchback in Absinth Yellow with Chamois trim running the all matching numbers 4.2 Litre V8 and Trimatic auto optioned with factory integrated Air-conditioning and log books and presented as ordered from GMH. For sale from our Sydney Showroom.

You don't come across many V8 SL Hatchback Toranas that haven't been transformed into an A9X Tribute. Here is an opportunity to acquire a Torana Hatchback just the way it was ordered and built by GMH in April 1977.

In pristine unmolested condition, this Absinth Yellow LX Torana SL Hatch is running the factory matching numbers 4.2 litre V8 and T-bar Auto. The Torana still retains it's original Chamois trim and has covered a genuine log booked 188,985 Kilometres from new.

According to the log books, this Torana SL was sold and serviced by Gilbert Motors at Mt. Barker, South Australia and delivered in May, 1977. The SL was re-painted in the late 1990s in 2 Pack Absinth Yellow on a rust and damage free body. The Hatchback still presents in stunning condition throughout.

The interior is in amazing condition throughout. All the gauges work and this SL is still fitted the original seat coverings, door cards, crash pad, console, steering wheel and seat belts. The carpet is also original as is the underlay and there is an original spare wheel, factory particle board and factory tools still in place. The Torana was ordered from GMH with factory Integrated Air-conditioning and the mounting brackets and condenser are supplied but a compressor would need to be sourced. The Torana is also fitted with an aftermarket AM/FM radio and cassette player plus VDO Oil Pressure and Temp gauges.

Mechanically the car is totally stock and super reliable. The engine bay is very original and still features the original exhaust manifold, air cleaner and rocker covers and the SL is fitted with a 4 BBL Rochester carby and Edelbrock inlet manifold. The car features the original horns. The Torana has just been fully serviced and drives beautifully making a wonderful old school V8 note through the dual exhaust fitted.

All the glass is original tinted glass as per the A/C option spec and this includes the original windscreen. The Torana is riding on the optional 13x6" Torana steel wheels and genuine mint hub caps with new Nankang 205x65R13 tyres all round.

This stunning LX SL Torana Hatchback comes with the original log books, owners manual, Air-Conditioning manual, a Holden Historical Services Production report and show stand, a set of original keys and GM mudflaps.

Just returned from the "Torana around Tasmania" trip, this is a well sorted, super reliable mint original unmolested example of an original V8 SL Torana Hatchback. A rare find find and a stunning addition to any Holden or Torana collection.

AMCS takes no responsibility for the accuracy or veracity of the information provided by the Seller.

When a Buyer wishes to speak to the owner or inspect a vehicle listed for sale on the AMCS web site, AMCS will request a copy of the potential buyers driver's license or a business card along with an email address and phone number. This is provided to the seller as confirmation of the legitimacy of the buyer and the seller is then asked to contact the potential buyer to discuss the car and set up an inspection if required.

The Buyer understands there is no warranty or guarantee offered by either the Seller or AMCS.

If upon inspection the Buyer is not satisfied with the car for any reason and does not wish to proceed with the purchase the owner is advised and any personal details are deleted from AMCS records.

If the Buyer is satisfied with the car and a price is agreed to with the Seller a formal tax invoice is prepared by AMCS and sent to the Buyer for payment to the AMCS audited Trust Account. AMCS also receives a formal Bill of Sale from the owner stating the car is free of encumbrance and noting banking details for the transaction. Once AMCS receives the total payment cleared into its trust account a transfer is then made to the Seller.

AMCS receives a fee of 7.5% (incl. GST) of the sale price for assisting the Seller to sell the vehicle. There is no fee or Buyer's premium charged to the Buyer.
