1974 Holden HQ Premier Station Wagon
This is a genuine HQ Premier Station Wagon (HQ81135), Adelaide built in January 1974 in Antelope Metallic with Buckskin vinyl trim. All matching numbers 202ci High Compression 6-cylinder, M40 Tri-Matic T-Bar automatic and Salisbury 10-bolt diff 3.36 ratio.
Heavily factory optioned with working integrated Air-conditioning, Power Windows (extremely rare on a wagon), rare 5-seat configuration with bucket seats (most wagons were 8-seaters) and Power Tailgate.
Holden wagons were built in much smaller numbers than sedans and utes and very few survive in such an original condition. This example is even rarer with factory air-con, power windows and the Salisbury diff, features usually reserved for higher-end Holden Monaros and Statesman. It also retains a classic car mobile phone for that authentic period touch.
Professionally restored in 1995 by the previous owner in Croydon, Victoria with 100+ photos included. The restoration retained the wagons original bodywork, engine and Premier trims and photos are available that clearly show the car's outstanding original condition prior to the restoration.
The restoration included the entire electrical system, mechanicals, upholstery and bare metal repaint. If you know HQs, you’ll know how rarely a Premier Wagon this straight, correct and well-documented comes to market.
The current owner purchased the Premier Wagon in 2012 via a Shannons Auction and has carefully maintained and enjoyed its classic originality.
This is a genuine piece of Holden history with a standout spec. Not to mention that the HQ wagon will probably bring back some great childhood memories for many of us.

Vehicles offered for sale through AMCS are the responsibility of the Owner / Seller. AMCS acts as the Seller's agent and relies fully on the information provided by the Seller of the vehicle in the advertising and sale of each vehicle. AMCS takes no responsibility for the accuracy or veracity of the information provided by the Seller.
When a Buyer wishes to speak to the owner or inspect a vehicle listed for sale on the AMCS web site, AMCS will request a copy of the potential buyers driver's license or a business card along with an email address and phone number. This is provided to the seller as confirmation of the legitimacy of the buyer and the seller is then asked to contact the potential buyer to discuss the car and set up an inspection if required.
The Buyer must make his own enquiries and inspections regarding the condition, authenticity and veracity of the vehicle and any statements made by the Seller, and satisfy themselves in all aspects prior to purchasing the car from the Seller. The Buyer understands there is no warranty or guarantee offered by either the Seller or AMCS.
If upon inspection the Buyer is not satisfied with the car for any reason and does not wish to proceed with the purchase the owner is advised and any personal details are deleted from AMCS records.
If the Buyer is satisfied with the car and a price is agreed to with the Seller a formal tax invoice is prepared by AMCS and sent to the Buyer for payment to the AMCS audited Trust Account. AMCS also receives a formal Bill of Sale from the owner stating the car is free of encumbrance and noting banking details for the transaction. Once AMCS receives the total payment cleared into its trust account a transfer is then made to the Seller.
AMCS receives a fee of 7.5% (incl. GST) of the sale price for assisting the Seller to sell the vehicle. There is no fee or Buyer's premium charged to the Buyer.
