1973 HQ GTS Monaro Coupe 350 4 Speed - Warrigal Black

You are looking at an absolute ONE-OFF '73 HQ GTS Monaro Coupe, factory specified with the 350 Chevrolet V8 and 4 speed Muncie gearbox, and special ordered in Warrigal Black with Doeskin trim. A magnificent example of the HQ coupe, which many believe to be the finest looking motor car ever made in Australia.
This special one of a kind Monaro, believed to be the only 350 4 speed coupe ever made in factory Black, was originally sold through Suttons Motors, Petersham, NSW and was used by the original Canberra owner for daily transport and some motor sport events, and went on to live in the pristine dry air of the ACT for over 40 years.
Recently refreshed with new exterior paint, all chrome work redone and all molds polished, with detailed undercarriage, the GTS retains it's original interior trim except for the carpet and seat belts and has covered a genuine 63,880 miles from new. The boot is also unrestored and features the original tool kit and Grand Rallye original spare tyre. And the compliance plates are all day one and have never been removed from the car.
According to the Holden Historical Services verification letter, this one off Monaro was a special Colour/Trim variation order. It is indeed rare to find a genuine Monaro GTS Coupe now-a-days let alone a factory ordered Black car with the 350 V8 and 4 speed Muncie gearbox combo.
And to have one survive so well with the period correct carby, distributor, exhaust manifolds, alternator, battery terminals and radiator through to the original Muncie gearbox with genuine linkages, Hurst shifter and bell housing is indeed super rare. Even the centre console retains the unique and rarely seen Muncie-only bump.

Vehicles offered for sale through AMCS are the responsibility of the Owner / Seller. AMCS acts as the Seller's agent and relies fully on the information provided by the Seller of the vehicle in the advertising and sale of each vehicle. AMCS takes no responsibility for the accuracy or veracity of the information provided by the Seller.
When a Buyer wishes to speak to the owner or inspect a vehicle listed for sale on the AMCS web site, AMCS will request a copy of the potential buyers driver's license or a business card along with an email address and phone number. This is provided to the seller as confirmation of the legitimacy of the buyer and the seller is then asked to contact the potential buyer to discuss the car and set up an inspection if required.
The Buyer must make his own enquiries and inspections regarding the condition, authenticity and veracity of the vehicle and any statements made by the Seller, and satisfy themselves in all aspects prior to purchasing the car from the Seller. The Buyer understands there is no warranty or guarantee offered by either the Seller or AMCS.
If upon inspection the Buyer is not satisfied with the car for any reason and does not wish to proceed with the purchase the owner is advised and any personal details are deleted from AMCS records.
If the Buyer is satisfied with the car and a price is agreed to with the Seller a formal tax invoice is prepared by AMCS and sent to the Buyer for payment to the AMCS audited Trust Account. AMCS also receives a formal Bill of Sale from the owner stating the car is free of encumbrance and noting banking details for the transaction. Once AMCS receives the total payment cleared into its trust account a transfer is then made to the Seller.
AMCS receives a fee of 7.5% (incl. GST) of the sale price for assisting the Seller to sell the vehicle. There is no fee or Buyer's premium charged to the Buyer.
