Offered for sale in Perth, WA this exceptional Tangerine Holden HQ GTS 350 Monaro Sedan is among the finest restorations we have seen.

Professionally completed by renowned Australian restoration specialist, Munster Muscle Cars, this is a full nut-and-bolt, body-off-chassis restoration executed to an uncompromising standard. Presented in its highly desirable original colour combination of Tangerine with Lone O’Ranger stripes and Doeskin trim with Chestnut accents, the car delivers both outstanding authenticity and breathtaking presentation.

Built at the GMH Melbourne plant and originally sold through Motors Pty Ltd in Hobart, Tasmania, this Monaro is powered by a period-correct QU-prefix 350ci V8 paired with the factory Turbo 400 automatic transmission and Salisbury limited-slip differential.

With only 214 HQ GTS 350 sedans produced — and just 160 equipped with the Turbo 400 automatic — this is an exceptionally rare Australian muscle car.

The restoration was completed 5 years ago using the extremely solid original body and includes extensive mechanical enhancements designed to improve drivability while maintaining the car’s original character. The GTS 350 V8 has been professionally blueprinted and balanced and features premium internal components including:

  •  Hydraulic roller camshaft
  •  Roller rockers
  •  Match-ported cylinder heads
  •  Oversized valves

The Turbo 400 transmission has been upgraded with a shift kit and 3,000 rpm high-stall converter, while the Salisbury differential runs a desirable 3.08:1 ratio with LSD. A full stainless dual exhaust system has also been fitted.

Further enhancing the driving experience, the vehicle is equipped with factory-style HQ power steering. No detail has been overlooked throughout the build. Every component has been restored, rebuilt, refinished or recalibrated to ensure the car performs and presents at the highest possible level. The quality of workmanship, paint finish and detailing throughout are consistent with Australia’s premier concours-level muscle car restorations.

Importantly, the vehicle is accompanied by:
  •  Holden Historical Services Letter of Verification
  •  Extensive restoration Portfolio

This is a rare opportunity to secure a highly collectible and investment-grade HQ GTS Monaro sedan restored to an exceptional standard.

Terms of sale

Vehicles offered for sale through AMCS are the responsibility of the Owner / Seller. AMCS acts as the Seller's agent and relies fully on the information provided by the Seller of the vehicle in the advertising and sale of each vehicle. AMCS takes no responsibility for the accuracy or veracity of the information provided by the Seller.

When a Buyer wishes to speak to the owner or inspect a vehicle listed for sale on the AMCS web site, AMCS will request a copy of the potential buyers driver's license or a business card along with an email address and phone number. This is provided to the seller as confirmation of the legitimacy of the buyer and the seller is then asked to contact the potential buyer to discuss the car and set up an inspection if required.

The Buyer must make his own enquiries and inspections regarding the condition, authenticity and veracity of the vehicle and any statements made by the Seller, and satisfy themselves in all aspects prior to purchasing the car from the Seller. The Buyer understands there is no warranty or guarantee offered by either the Seller or AMCS.

If upon inspection the Buyer is not satisfied with the car for any reason and does not wish to proceed with the purchase the owner is advised and any personal details are deleted from AMCS records.

If the Buyer is satisfied with the car and a price is agreed to with the Seller a formal tax invoice is prepared by AMCS and sent to the Buyer for payment to the AMCS audited Trust Account. AMCS also receives a formal Bill of Sale from the owner stating the car is free of encumbrance and noting banking details for the transaction. Once AMCS receives the total payment cleared into its trust account a transfer is then made to the Seller.

AMCS receives a fee of 8.5% (incl. GST) of the sale price for assisting the Seller to sell the vehicle. There is no fee or Buyer's premium charged to the Buyer.
