It used to be that having a Statesman parked in the driveway was a real status symbol back in the 1970s. Then the hot rodders saw potential in the big Statesman and started modifying them into tough street cruisers.

For sale is a super cool HQ Statesman that has been modified along the lines of a street outlaw cruiser. Featuring a brand new Stroker 355 V8 with all the good gear including twin thermo fans, reconditioned 3 core radiator, Edlebrock Performer Manifold and 4BBL Edlebrock carby, Gilmer gear drive, extractors and a new dual 2 1/2 exhaust. The HQ Statesman was factory optioned with AIr-Conditioning which is fitted minus the compressor and pulleys.

Repainted five years ago in the factory Glacier White, the Statesman also features shaved door handles and twin recessed aerials in the rear guards. The interior is original with new coverings to the front seats and new carpet. The Stateman is fitted with factory power steering and power windows.

The DeVille is riding on 15" Crager Alloys with Toyo 195/60R15 on the front and Kenda 235/60R15 tyres on the rear.
