Starting with a bare metal rebuild of a factory 1971 302 V8 Fairmont the car has been painstakingly and correctly upgraded to 54H body identifiers including a 351 radiator support, spot-welded brace, GT Radiator mounting brackets, 351 cross member support, rear exhaust hanger mounting nuts to rear chassis, 2 reinforcing battery brackets true of 1971 build cars, 3/8 fuel line with retaining bracket in front of exhaust hangers and GT bonnet shaker/hood bracing.

The exterior of the car received a bare metal respray in Track Red 2 Pac with correct GT blackouts, NOS gold Superoo stripes, new glass all around, all stainless-steel trims re-polished and or re-chromed, reproduction headlights and driving lights, GT grill and inserts, rechromed front and rear bumper bars with GT overriders, NOS fibre glass rear spoiler with Phase 3 adjustable legs and correct GT locking petrol cap. In fact every nut and bolt has been re-plated or chromed by Blue chrome and all correct rubbers, trim clips and cables have been used.

The interior is re-upholstered in GT black trim, with new dash pad and dash trims, new door trims with original armrests and ash trays, original working radio, correct front and rear speakers, working clock, working lighter, new black carpet with correct loop pile, new sun visors, wind lacing and door seals and windows rubbers. All new correct period sound insulation and padding, plus re-laced black seat belts with restored buckles and clips. The GT Replica is fitted with a correct original GT console, new wiring harness and all gauges have been recalibrated and are working perfectly.

Loads of genuine GT Parts have been used including steering wheel, dress rims, dashboard, speedo and tachometer, Close Ratio Toploader gearbox, Shaker top, 36 Gallon Fuel tank and GT steering box. Ford NOS parts used include 5 slot rims, front indicators and bumper over-riders.

Engine is 392 stroker Cleveland running E85 built by Sash from AN Racing using a Ford Cleveland block bored 0.030 with Milodon 4 bolt main caps, Hi volume oil pump, Milodon stainless steel flywheel and crank damper, Milodon sump, 351 Cleveland 4MA crank offset ground, SB Chev big end bearing journal width, Eagle forged H Beam 6.2 inch rods, Venolia pistons with fully floating gudgeon pins and double spiral locks, Solid Roller Cam custom grind to 8000rpm, New SVO A3 aluminium heads flowed by Superflow, Manly Severe Duty Race Flow stainless valves inlet dia. 2.190 exh. 1.710, K Motion triple valve springs and retainers, Stud girdle, 12.5 comp running E85, SVO A351 single plane manifold with 6.5 inch pad height, Ford Racing rocker covers, a Holley 950cfm E85 ultra XP 4 barrel carburettor, Holley blue electric fuel pump, MSD Ignition with rev limiter, Weiand competition water pump, Ford EB electric cooling fans and correct style HO vacuum tank.

Driveline is GTHO close ratio toploader gearbox with Mr Shifter, correct sized and colour coded linkages, replicated GTHO tailshaft with 92mm uni-joints, diff work completed by Diff Trans, 9" diff with 4:11 diff gears, Detroit locker with 31 spline axles and 92mm yoke.

Suspension and Brakes are Lovells front springs, Lovells springs (6 leaf rears), Bilstein gas adjustable shocks coloured in original GT green, Rotors are DBA sports gold cross drilled, original Kelsey Hayes calipers and performance pads, genuine GT proportioning valve, new ball joints and suspension rubbers, 32mm front sway bar, 20 rear sway bar, new clutch master cylinder and slave cylinder, correct XY GT clutch line, reserviced brake master cylinder, centre caps and redwall Dunlop tyres.

All correct QC stamps, and stickers have been used, all gauges have been served and recalibrated. The car has only completed about 700 miles since the rebuild 13 years ago and rarely never gets driven
