Completed 2 years ago and driven only 235 miles since completing its ground up restoration, this factory Daytona Bronze HT GTS with factory Antique Gold trim has been the subject of a Concourse nut and bolt restoration. Starting life as a factory 253 V8 and 4 speed manual GTS, the current owner upgraded the running gear with an American sourced GM 350ci block, 30 thou oversize, running Steel Rods, Solid Flat Tappet Cam, Roller Rockers, AFR Alloy Heads, Weiand - Single plane Manifold and 750 DP carby. The owner sourced a genuine HT Saginaw 4 speed gearbox, HT 350 tail shaft and differential with standard ratios and steel axles. The Monaro is also supplied with a genuine HT 350 engine block.
Following an 8 year restoration, the GTS is supplied with an extensive portfolio of photos documenting this superb build. The GTS has been painted in 2 pack Daytona Bronze paint with a huge amount of time spent making sure the body gaps and alignments were perfect. The restoration included the use of new and NOS chrome, stainless and badging. The glass is all new with new rubbers fitted.
On the inside, the GTS is fitted with brand new seat trims, door cards, crash pad, dash, gauges, wood inserts, roof lining, seat belts and carpets All window winding mechanisms have been serviced and open and close like new. The quarter vent, door locks and doors all open and close effortlessly. The Saginaw gearbox features a fully rebuilt shifter with brand new shifter boot and knob.
Riding on restored 14" HT 350 rims with mint HT GTS caps and Firestone Red walled tyres all round. In the boot is a new boot matt with Firestone Red Walled spare and factory tools.
The undercarriage is fully detailed to 350 spec with the saginaw gearbox, genuine violet tail shaft, 10 bolt diff with new fuel tank and fuel lines.
