1968 Ford Torino GT 390 now for sale. 1968 was the first year for the famous new Ford, soon set to make its mark on the super speedways of NASCAR. A spin off of the popular Fairlane range Torinos shared badges with the Fairlane until 1970 when they became known as Torinos only.

To highlight the successful new model the Torino GT Convertible was chosen as the pace car for the Indianapolis 500 in 1968. This particular example being one of the most exclusive as a convertible with automatic transmission, leather seats and air conditioning (included but not fitted). From a production run of over 100,000 cars only 5,300 Torino GT convertibles were made in 1968.

This car is in excellent condition. The FE series 390ci V8 has been fully rebuilt by the owner updated with an aluminium intake and refurbished 4bbl carby. The engine runs smooth and cool, with no oil leaks. All electricals and lights are in perfect working order. The C6 transmission has also been rebuilt along with the power steering.

This car turns heads wherever it goes. The body is excellent with no rust and looks magnificent in Ford's Dark Blue Metallic with a new black soft top, along with the original leather cover for when the roof is down.

The car has been stored in a garage, and includes its original buildsheet. Ready to cruise this summer. The car is located in Revesby, NSW (Ref. 5335)

Vehicles offered for sale through AMCS are the responsibility of the Owner / Seller. AMCS acts as the Seller's agent and relies fully on the information provided by the Seller of the vehicle in the advertising and sale of each vehicle. AMCS takes no responsibility for the accuracy or veracity of the information provided by the Seller.

When a Buyer wishes to speak to the owner or inspect a vehicle listed for sale on the AMCS web site, AMCS will request a copy of the potential buyers driver's license or a business card along with an email address and phone number. This is provided to the seller as confirmation of the legitimacy of the buyer and the seller is then asked to contact the potential buyer to discuss the car and set up an inspection if required.

The Buyer must make his own enquiries and inspections regarding the condition, authenticity and veracity of the vehicle and any statements made by the Seller, and satisfy themselves in all aspects prior to purchasing the car from the Seller. The Buyer understands there is no warranty or guarantee offered by either the Seller or AMCS.

If upon inspection the Buyer is not satisfied with the car for any reason and does not wish to proceed with the purchase the owner is advised and any personal details are deleted from AMCS records.

If the Buyer is satisfied with the car and a price is agreed to with the Seller a formal tax invoice is prepared by AMCS and sent to the Buyer for payment to the AMCS audited Trust Account. AMCS also receives a formal Bill of Sale from the owner stating the car is free of encumbrance and noting banking details for the transaction. Once AMCS receives the total payment cleared into its trust account a transfer is then made to the Seller.

AMCS receives a fee of 7.5% (incl. GST) of the sale price for assisting the Seller to sell the vehicle. There is no fee or Buyer's premium charged to the Buyer.
