1965 Ford Mustang Fastback Shelby GT350 Replica ... (SOLD)

Personal import from Flemings Ultimate Garage in the USA in 2009. Already modded to 1965 Shelby GT350 Clone with full Shelby correct Ram Air Hood, Side Scoops, factory Wimbledon White acrylic paint with painted Guardsmen Blue Cobra striping with GT350 side stripes and AC Cobra fuel cap and GT350 rear deck badge. For sale from Geelong, Victoria.

Running a rebuilt 351 Windsor block stroked to 408 cui with aluminium heads built by TDR Race Engines from Geelong, Victoria. The engine was dynoed at 479.4 HP at the flywheel. The gearbox is a Borg Warner 5 speed and then through to a new 9" LSD disc brake rear end with 3.25:1 gear ratio. The Mustang is also fitted with a Holley 650 carby with mechanical secondaries, MSD Pro Billet distributor, MSD ignition, semi high rise inlet manifold, new 4 core aluminium radiator, extractors and then through to a 2 1/2" exhaust. The Mustang is also fitted with a QTP exhaust cut out which opens the exhaust before the mufflers giving the car 15 more horsepower and an awesome exhaust note.

The Shelby features a complete race suspension with tied frame and full bracing. A Hydratech Braking System is fitted with 4 wheel disc brakes powered by the power steering pump. There is also fast ratio power steering fitted.

On the inside, the Mustang is fitted with correct Shelby GT350 Corbeau custom bucket seats with console and fold down rear seat. There are also a full suite of Shelby factory gauges with optional AC Cobra 8,000 RPM tacho. The front seats are fitted with Simpson 4 point race harnesses, genuine Cobra steering wheel, 500 Watt custom digital AM/FM CD Sound system with subwoofer, working under dash Air Conditioning system and modern heater.

Riding on genuine 15" Cobra Alloys with excellent Dunlop 225x60ZR15 on the front and brand new Hankook 225x60R15 on the rear. In the boot is a factory boot matt.

The current owner has enjoyed this beautiful Mustang since importing the car in 2009 and has maintained the Mustang regardless of cost. Only selling as he has too many cars and not enough time to enjoy them all.
