With only three owners this superb VY GTS example is showing only 49,000kms from new. The original Phantom Mica metallic black paint is like new, unmarked and unchipped - this car has had a dream life and the interior presents the same way. Unique to the VY Series 1 cars were the 8 way adjustable wrap around HSV Performance contoured seats, which remain as new in this car.

Built to be the pinnacle of the HSV model range in 2003/2004, only 142 VY GTS 300 sedans were made; 117 in VY and 25 in VY II.

Unique to the GTS 300 was the direct from USA imported Callaway Engineering handcrafted 5.7 litre C4B LS1 with 300kW @ 6,000rpm and 510Nm @ 4,800rpm. Callaway mods included CNC-ported heads, roller rockers, a more aggressive roller cam, new stainless steel valves and titanium retainers to give a lighter valvetrain. Compression ratio was a high 9.95:1 running on 98 octane. HSV also specified an upgraded, free-flowing exhaust system and a red anodised alloy big-bore throttle body with matching engine covers and a larger intake pipe.

Power is transmitted through a torque enhanced THM4L60E 4 speed auto and 3.46:1 Hydratrak limited slip differential rear end. The GTS also received the premium 'Ultimate' braking system - AP Racing callipers with six piston front and 4 piston rear on massive cross drilled, grooved and ventilated rotors. GTS wheels were new for the VY in 19 x 8 inch for the first time.

The GTS was the quickest of all HSV offerings in 2003 with 0-100kmh in less than six seconds and covering the 400 metres in the high 13 second bracket. In late 2002, Wheels Magazine clocked Greg Murphy at over 270km/h during a high speed test at the GMH Lang Lang Proving Ground in a stock GTS sedan.
