Now for sale this 2000 Ford AU Series II Falcon GS Replica located in Gulgong, NSW.

The Grand Sport or GS badge was first used as an option pack on the XW Falcon range of 1969. For $145 you could "Become a Grand Sport" by adding raking GS side stripes, a GS Dash and full instrumentation, a 3 spoke wood grain rim blow steering wheel and full chrome wheel covers. It was a way to individualise your Falcon or Fairmont without spending the money required for the GT model. The FPV GS similarly provided a lower entry-point into FPV’s performance stable sitting between Ford’s Falcon XR range and FPV’s GT and F6. The pricing put both the GS Sedan and Ute under the bar for the Luxury Car Tax.

What the owner of this lovely 2000 model AUII Falcon has created is his take on what the GS Rally Pack option could have looked like on the AU Falcon model. Featuring GS graphics, full Tickford series body kit, bonnet vents and lowered sports suspension, the AU Falcon certainly looks like a Grand Sport. This is further enhanced by the stylish 18" chrome plated Koyo alloy wheels and near new 235/40/18 tyres.

Mechanically, the Falcon is running the original 4.0 Litre Intech motor and 4 speed BTR Auto. Thus the TS40 badging on the sides. It has the Big Mouth Air intake with K&N filter, Herrod Motorsport extractors, Hi flow cat and big bore Red Back exhaust system. The engine bay has also been detailed together with the underbody. The Falcon has the original log books showing that the car was sold through Cross Country Ford, Muswellbrook, NSW and comes with stamped service records. Runs extremely well with no issues. All coolant, oils, trans, power steering and brake fluid regularly changed and the car is now showing 302,400 km.

The Falcon has always been garaged and the interior is in great condition with a Kenwood sound system including Bluetooth. The roof lining has been replaced in black to match the rest of the trim.
