While the C2 Corvette is the most-loved generation to date, the C5 is regarded as the most forward thinking model. With perfect 50:50 weight distribution, torsional stiffness five times greater than the C4 and stacks of room inside for two people and their luggage, a slinky 0.293 Cd drag factor with the headlights lowered, the potent 345hp aluminium-block LS1 V8 up front and, for the first time on a Corvette, a rear transaxle.

It was also the first time in history that Corvette buyers could choose from three different body styles: a targa-top coupe, a convertible and a hardtop with a boot.

The C5 Targa features a removable targa roof panel, Bose premium 10-speaker system, Chevrolet Infotainment system, 8-way power GT1 seats, HD rear vision camera and power tilt/telescoping steering column plus power windows and Air conditioning. The C5 is further factory optioned with a blue tinted removable transparent targa roof panel, sports seats, electronic real time damping, fog lamp and memory package.
