Easily the most popular Mazda model amongst enthusiasts and the most widely-supported by the aftermarket, the Mazda RX3 has become an icon car in Australia & indeed, the world over! In flawless Earth Green 2 Pac paint, this genuine RX3 12A Coupe 'M4ZDA' was already a very tidy restored cruiser when brought to PAC Performance Motorsports in Revesby, NSW for some fine tuning. The motor racing enthusiast owner wanted to refine the build to create a car that could deliver GT Motorsport excitement whilst keeping an old school feel and flawless drivability on the street.

What followed was a full rebuild of the Mazda's driveline, featuring PAC Performance upgrades including Adjustable coilover struts, 9"Diff upgrade and Wilwood 4-piston calipers at all 4 corners.

A fresh Billet By Pac Peripheral Port 13B engine was fitted to the Mazda featuring a 50mm Billet IDA EFI throttlebody and Custom PP manifold, a System1 oil filter, Billet by Pac oil pedestal, side mounted 120A alternator with multi rib pulley kit. A MoTeC M130 engine management system was fitted with Bosch smart coils & Billet by Pac coil bracket, 900cc Injectors, Turbosmart FPR2000, high capacity fuel tank with single Walbro in-tank pump, Speedflow lightweight kevlar hoses and 550 series crimp fittings used throughout. Cooling is via a Pac Premium Cooling Package and Pac Billet Thermostat. The Mazda makes 250 rwhp.

Gears are swapped with a W58 Supra 5-Speed and through to the 9" diff. Brakes and suspension have been upgraded with Willwood 4-piston on the front and rear, 1" bore master and booster upgrade, BC racing adjustable coilover front struts and re-set leaf springs.

The interior also saw some upgrades with a new set of Sportster CS Recaros up front with matching door trims and rear seat, along with a new MoTeC C127 display plus a Momo wheel and gear knob to finish it off.

Wheels are RC Comp with Nankang Econex 145 R15 on the front and 225x50R15 ET Street R Mickey Thompson tyres on the rear.

This was a first of its kind for a street car package, but one that certainly has delivered the goods. The result, we think you'll agree speaks for itself.
