1974 HQ Holden Monaro GTS 308 V8 Tribute ... (SOLD)

Nearly 50 years ago a 202 6 cylinder HQ LS Monaro painted in Monterey Green Metallic with Doeskin/Chestnut trim rolled down the Sydney assembly line. Now transformed into a stunning Barbados Green GTS Tribute running a QT prefix 308 V8 and 4 speed manual M21 gearbox. For sale from Denilliquin, NSW.

Starting as a rust free rolling shell, the LS was stripped to bare metal and professionally painted in 2 Pack Barbados Green. The GTS stripes have been painted in gloss black. Stainless has been polished and new chrome bumper bars fitted. The glass is original except for the front screen.

The interior is all new including seat belts, carpet, hood lining, door cards and seat trims. The crash pad is in excellent original condition with restored and recalibrated GTS gauges. Steering wheel is a new Rare Spares item. The car is fitted with a radio blanking plate.

Mechanically the car runs a fully rebuilt HZ 308 V8, bored 40 thou over, mild cam, HQ correct rocker covers, refurbished Quadrajet 4BBL carby and genuine HQ air cleaner. The car runs standard manifolds through to a 2 1/2" exhaust. There is a new 3 core radiator, new water pump, hoses and a new fuel pump.

The GTS runs a reconditioned 4 speed M21 gearbox through to a 3.08:1 Salisbury diff. Clutch, pressure plate and flywheel are all new.

Brakes have also been rebuilt with new master cylinder, calipers and brake lines. Suspension is slightly lowered on Lovell springs. Tyres are brand new with red walls on stock 14" GTS rims. In the boot is a Rare Spares boot mat.

Only 300 Kilometres since the restoration was completed. The car comes with receipts and photos of the restoration.

Very streetable and easy to cruise with nothing to spend. On full NSW registration until February 2023.
