1972 saw the all new coke bottle shaped XA Falcon come down the Ford production line. This was an all Australian conceived, engineered and styled Falcon. But the XA was a whole lot more than just a face lift. Ford had put a great deal of effort to further improve handling, quietness and comfort. And along with the sedan, Ford introduced the super sexy Hardtop. A great looking road car that also served Ford well as the basis for their race cars. For sale is an absolutely gorgeous Cosmic Blue Fairmont Hardtop optioned with the 351 2V Cleveland V8 and T-Bar auto. Located in Echuca, Victoria for your inspection.

Launched in March, 1972, the XA was Ford Australia’s first model to be completely designed and built in this country and the first two-door hardtop since the XP series of 1965–1966. Not many are left in the superb maintained condition of this XA Fairmont Hardtop. And certainly not many Hardtops optioned with the K Code 260 hp two barrel version of the 351 cu in Cleveland V8 have remained unmolested as many have over the years been transformed into GT Replicas. In stunning Cosmic Blue with factory White painted roof and White trim, this ONE OF ONE built 1972 XA Fairmont features the original day one matching driveline.

Originally sold through Allan Coffey Motors in Ringwood, Victoria, the first owner held the car for many years. The car then went to Sydney where the it was mechanically refreshed and received a closed door repainted in the original factory colours in 2 pack in 2017. The engine bay, door jambs and boot are still original factory paint. The chrome and stainless is also original and in excellent condition. The current owner had known of this car for many years, having missed out on buying it from the original owner but continued to chase the car down due to the incredible condition of the body. Purchased in 2019, the current owner has enjoyed this special survivor car fitting perfect original 12 slot steel wheels and mint Fairmont hubcaps with new Aqua-tread Sport ER70 redwall tyres.

The Fairmont runs the matching numbers 351 Cleveland V8 and t-Bar automatic transmission and has covered a genuine 107,246 miles from new. The factory Air-conditioning is in place but the compressor is not fitted. Also when the car was restored the power steering was removed.

The interior is all original and in near perfect condition throughout. The crash pad and steering wheel are also near perfect as is the hood lining and visors. Carpet is original with wear showing to the front section.

The XA is currently registered with full Victorian registration but will be sold unregistered.

Vehicles offered for sale through AMCS are the responsibility of the Owner / Seller. AMCS acts as the Seller's agent and relies fully on the information provided by the Seller of the vehicle in the advertising and sale of each vehicle. AMCS takes no responsibility for the accuracy or veracity of the information provided by the Seller.

When a Buyer wishes to speak to the owner or inspect a vehicle listed for sale on the AMCS web site, AMCS will request a copy of the potential buyers driver's license or a business card along with an email address and phone number. This is provided to the seller as confirmation of the legitimacy of the buyer and the seller is then asked to contact the potential buyer to discuss the car and set up an inspection if required.

The Buyer must make his own enquiries and inspections regarding the condition, authenticity and veracity of the vehicle and any statements made by the Seller, and satisfy themselves in all aspects prior to purchasing the car from the Seller. The Buyer understands there is no warranty or guarantee offered by either the Seller or AMCS.

If upon inspection the Buyer is not satisfied with the car for any reason and does not wish to proceed with the purchase the owner is advised and any personal details are deleted from AMCS records.

If the Buyer is satisfied with the car and a price is agreed to with the Seller a formal tax invoice is prepared by AMCS and sent to the Buyer for payment to the AMCS audited Trust Account. AMCS also receives a formal Bill of Sale from the owner stating the car is free of encumbrance and noting banking details for the transaction. Once AMCS receives the total payment cleared into its trust account a transfer is then made to the Seller.

AMCS receives a fee of 7.5% (incl. GST) of the sale price for assisting the Seller to sell the vehicle. There is no fee or Buyer's premium charged to the Buyer.
