For sale is this stunning rotisserie restored 1971 Yellow Glo XY GT Falcon Replica with Black trim. Located near Bundaberg, QLD.
Factory V8 '71 Fairmont converted to Yellow Glo XY GT Falcon Replica. Painted in Glasurit 2 Pack 5 years ago following a back to bare metal professional rotisserie restoration. Running a 351 Cleveland with High Rise manifold, Yella Terra Roller Rockers, 650 Holley Carby, mild cam, Hurricane extractors to a 2 1/2" stainless exhaust with 3" exit pipes. The XY is fitted with a March kit serpentine belt drive, MSD ignition plus a huge aluminium Aussie Desert Cooler radiator with twin thermo fans. Gears are swapped via a Tremec TKO600 5 speed manual gearbox through a custom tail shaft good for 600Hp and then through to a 9" LSD diff with highway 3.0:1 ratio gearing. On cruise, this GT is good for 26 MPG, a whole lot better than a standard GT.
Professionally restored by Classic Curves P/L in Childers, QLD the car was built from an excellent body with all body work completed to the highest standard with no corners cut. The XY was then rust proofed and fish oiled throughout. All chrome and stainless has been polished, or renewed. The glass is all original except for a new tinted and laminated windscreen with a legal tint on the side and rear glass.
Interior has been fully retrimmed with black trim with new door cards, carpets with correct GT dash with new crash pad, gauges and steering wheel. The hood lining is in a black velvet finish. The XY has a factory Superfringe radio plus a CD player in the glove box with 2 speakers in the parcel shelf. The car also has working Vintage Air-conditioning with vents on either side of the footwell and one in the centre above the console. The GT also has a two way UHF radio hidden in the glove box, mic in the centre console, speaker in the crash pad and aerial in the boot.
Suspension is RRS Coil Over with Rack and Pinion power steering. The brakes are RRS disc on the front and drum on the rear.
Riding on 15" Simmons with Hercules 60 profile rubber. In the boot is a 15" spare with good tyre and genuine restored XY tools. The XY is Queensland mod plated for the 5 speed manual gearbox, brakes and suspension. The GT comes with photos of the restoration and some receipts.

Vehicles offered for sale through AMCS are the responsibility of the Owner / Seller. AMCS acts as the Seller's agent and relies fully on the information provided by the Seller of the vehicle in the advertising and sale of each vehicle. AMCS takes no responsibility for the accuracy or veracity of the information provided by the Seller.
When a Buyer wishes to speak to the owner or inspect a vehicle listed for sale on the AMCS web site, AMCS will request a copy of the potential buyers driver's license or a business card along with an email address and phone number. This is provided to the seller as confirmation of the legitimacy of the buyer and the seller is then asked to contact the potential buyer to discuss the car and set up an inspection if required.
The Buyer must make his own enquiries and inspections regarding the condition, authenticity and veracity of the vehicle and any statements made by the Seller, and satisfy themselves in all aspects prior to purchasing the car from the Seller. The Buyer understands there is no warranty or guarantee offered by either the Seller or AMCS.
If upon inspection the Buyer is not satisfied with the car for any reason and does not wish to proceed with the purchase the owner is advised and any personal details are deleted from AMCS records.
If the Buyer is satisfied with the car and a price is agreed to with the Seller a formal tax invoice is prepared by AMCS and sent to the Buyer for payment to the AMCS audited Trust Account. AMCS also receives a formal Bill of Sale from the owner stating the car is free of encumbrance and noting banking details for the transaction. Once AMCS receives the total payment cleared into its trust account a transfer is then made to the Seller.
AMCS receives a fee of 7.5% (incl. GST) of the sale price for assisting the Seller to sell the vehicle. There is no fee or Buyer's premium charged to the Buyer.
