In the 1970s Ford developed a number of special order Fleet colours for large corporate customers. Colour names like Brambles Red, RAA Yellow, Kwikasair Violet, Rothmans Blue, Shell Yellow, Hughes Blue and McRobertsons Old Gold are just some of the examples.
A very special factory order of three XY GT Falcons was made in April 1971 by the Royal Automobile Association of South Australia. These XY GTs were all painted in the Fleet colour known as RAA Yellow (F269) and all three were ordered with the T-Bar automatic FMX transmission. According to the Ford Verification letter, this particular GT is a One of One build and was ordered heavily optioned including Power Steering, GOLDE sunroof, Dual exterior mirrors, 8 Track Stereo/Radio and Heavy Duty Dust Pack. Ordered through Peter Warren Ford in Fairfield, NSW, this is a very well known and highly regarded XY GT Falcon.
Concours restored in 2014, with under 4,000 miles driven since the restoration, this all matching numbers GT has been a consistent category winner at numerous car shows including Best XY GT Falcon at the Queensland All Ford Day, 2022, the 2001 Brisbane GT Nationals and the recently held 2023 Bathurst GT Nationals. The GT is sold with full Ford Verification, log books, a show display board and numerous date correct RAA memorabilia. The GT is also supplied with two sets of wheels and tyres. A genuine set of unrestored 5 slot wheels shod in display quality genuine red wall Dunlop SP Sport AQUAJET tyres with 90% tread and also another set of 15" 1972 genuine Bathurst Globe wheels with excellent modern Toyo red wall tyres.

Vehicles offered for sale through AMCS are the responsibility of the Owner / Seller. AMCS acts as the Seller's agent and relies fully on the information provided by the Seller of the vehicle in the advertising and sale of each vehicle. AMCS takes no responsibility for the accuracy or veracity of the information provided by the Seller.
When a Buyer wishes to speak to the owner or inspect a vehicle listed for sale on the AMCS web site, AMCS will request a copy of the potential buyers driver's license or a business card along with an email address and phone number. This is provided to the seller as confirmation of the legitimacy of the buyer and the seller is then asked to contact the potential buyer to discuss the car and set up an inspection if required.
The Buyer must make his own enquiries and inspections regarding the condition, authenticity and veracity of the vehicle and any statements made by the Seller, and satisfy themselves in all aspects prior to purchasing the car from the Seller. The Buyer understands there is no warranty or guarantee offered by either the Seller or AMCS.
If upon inspection the Buyer is not satisfied with the car for any reason and does not wish to proceed with the purchase the owner is advised and any personal details are deleted from AMCS records.
If the Buyer is satisfied with the car and a price is agreed to with the Seller a formal tax invoice is prepared by AMCS and sent to the Buyer for payment to the AMCS audited Trust Account. AMCS also receives a formal Bill of Sale from the owner stating the car is free of encumbrance and noting banking details for the transaction. Once AMCS receives the total payment cleared into its trust account a transfer is then made to the Seller.
AMCS receives a fee of 7.5% (incl. GST) of the sale price for assisting the Seller to sell the vehicle. There is no fee or Buyer's premium charged to the Buyer.
